We ordered a new stove, as ours broke. It was going to take about 2 weeks for delivery. We were called the day of the scheduled delivery to inform us, it was going to be another 2 weeks. The product is there. They just can't do the job they were paid in full for. So is anyone going to pay me for the day off of work i took to be here for their delivery time window? What about their next blown delivery date? I can go on their website and order another new appliance for the same "time frame" they are currently telling me. Yeah, that's believable. My wife is currently 36 weeks pregnant, so they want to schedule and probably, blow another delivery date with a 2 day old baby in the house? This is a great scenario that best buy caused. I'd really give zero stars if I could, and order somewhere else next time.
Their phone system absolutely sucks. My car stereo that I had installed this spring at Best Buy is acting up, the front speakers keep cutting out, so I call the Duluth store. Then I get transferred to the main menu for all Best Buy stores. I wait on hold 20 minutes, then get transferred to the Duluth Best Buy. They then "transfer" me to the stereo installation. I wait on hold another 15 minutes. We're 35 minutes in at this point. Someone finally answers the phone speaking a heavy accent. They take my name and number and say they'll look up the number with extension for that department. I wait another 5 minutes, then the customer service rep finally picks up, "Mr. Christian, I'm showing three stores in the Phoenix area...Chandler, Mesa..." --I cut in, "NO, Duluth, M I N N E S O T A, not Arizona. And my name is Ryan." in annoyed voice She puts me on hold another 5 minutes, then comes back and gives me the exact same number I called 45 minutes ago. I NEED THE DIRECT LINE for the car stereo installation department. You know, the garage where things get installed and where I can speak to a local person, not a useless bot or someone on the other side of the planet.
This store is okay every time I shop there the shelves are always empty and it's always short staffed. Being a computer admin myself I think a bit more critical on stuff and from my experience they are unable to answer basic questions like a HDD enclosure I had to ask three different employees for them to directly to the person that knows what it is and if they have in stock, to my disappointment that had limited selection of them. Then recently I went in asking if they had a Google pixel in stock and one of the employees was asking if that was phone... So I am unimpressed, but Best buy is pretty convenient for me and I will keep shopping there, they do have great sales on Black Friday. It's still a Best Buy but this particular one needs improvement on training their staff and hiring more people and keeping the shelves stocked.
Knowledgeable staff regarding radar detectors. I got pulled over and thankfully got a warning. Decided...I'm going to bite the bullet and buy one. Got the perfect fit and it works perfectly- saved me a lot of money in the long run!
We ordered a washer and dryer and we're texted multiple times with our confirmed delivery date/window. 15 minutes after the last confirmation textday of BB calls, sorry someone called in, delivers is now Jan 11. Similar experience on an earlier purchase.. Thanks BB for all you. No more sales from us.
Not much selection in store. I haven't been in a Best Buy in a while, I normally order online. They didn't ask me if I had Best Buy rewards but asked eveyone else.
I find it absolutely asinine that you can not call the Duluth Best Buy phone number and talk to someone who actually works at the store. Your only options are to go through their whole voicemail system, and eventually end up talking to someone with a very heavy accent from another country. Isn't this still a Minnesota company?? Its crazy that their version of customer service has come to this. I wanted to ask one simple question that would have taken up one minute of their time, and it couldn't be done. I will be taking my business elsewise from now on.
Jared was really helpful today when I was looking to buy a PC controller. He showed me the one that would work best for what I was looking to achieve and even went the extra mile to show me where additional products would be found in store if the ones I had weren't what I wanted. I really appreciate his help! He is a great team member.
I wish I would have seen reviews for avoiding buying appliances from best buy before I purchased mine. This has been a ridiculous ordeal. My wife and I purchased our appliances and had them scheduled for delivery. Our fridge was delivered in July which was fine because we were remodeling our kitchen and didn't need the range, microwave and dishwasher yet. We had the rest of the appliances scheduled for delivery and installation. That day came and they gave us our 4 hour window which came and went with no communication. We had to reschedule 9 days later which was today. They arrived this morning without the dishwasher and did not inform us about it and the range was completely destroyed and couldn't be installed so they installed the microwave and left. Here we are more two weeks after the install date and two failed attempts at delivery later, we still can't use our kitchen and we have no resolution in sight. It's not worth it, DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE.
Customer service is great. My son need a phone they showed us our options and offered a much wider selection at the price point we needed. Very happy with our purchase.
