Very kind and attentive staff. Usually a short wait for all drs, sleep studies and infusions. Reclining chairs for those receiving the treatments. Staff even makes a point to remember the individual. TVs in each room with a privacy curtain. In a great location, right off County Line Road.
Everyone that took care of my husband was great! He was transferred from UMMC as a vent patient after battling with COVID-19. The facility did everything the told me they would to ween my husband if the ventilator and he was off within about 2 weeks of being at Select. Ms Tanya and Ms Janice are awesome respiratory therapist and do their job very well and they go over and beyond for their patients. They really wanted for my husband to get better and everyday he improved. His nurse Kim was awesome, OT Dominique, CNA DJ they all care. There are a few that do not have good bedside manners but the ones I named are angels. Thank you for being such an awesome team! I love them all!
Went there too have a sleep study in April. Results said I have apnea. No worries they'll order you a sleep machine. A Bpap too be exact. I called in May June and July with the same response " someone will be with you within 48 hrs"... I'm confused how is it that nobody in this clinic can return a call or call q medical warehouse to schedule a pick up. People die from apnea all the time. Can we get better at normalizing what we should be doing in the health care field.
They provided negligent acute care & was also very rude to a loving family member of mine. There was no compassion. They did not consult any specialist to treat co morbid conditions. My family member was discharged in a more acute state than when they where admitted. If you love your love one please find a better facility. Thank me later. God bless everyone.
My father was placed here for several weeks for surgery recovery. The nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and case workers were all extremely professional and they really take care of their patients.
I was transferred from St D to Select.After having Covid/pneumonia. I also had a trach.There was several nice staff members but there was also some very rude and cruel staff.I have been in health care for 31 years and would have never in my wildest dreams thought so many nurses and cnas could be so cruel. I cried on so many occasions because of my treatment and care. At night there were times no one was around for hours.I would press my call light and someone come in cut it off and leave. There was one cna that was very kind and when she would tell me she would be off I literally would have panic attacks. I think the name should be changed to Neglect.
It's is the best by far a great hospital I was treated with the best of care the nurse and doctor the hold staff are the best
If you have a very sick loved one, this isn't the place for them. Very few of the staff is decent and the rest simply don't care. The case managers need to undergo better training on how to treat people because the one my relative had was very rude and detached, not a good look. Overall, there is too much unsupervised neglect. Do better Select...
My mother was admitted into this facility. My siblings and I thought this was a good place to rehabilitate our Mother as time progressed we know now that this is not a good place for her. We found out today that she is being mistreated and tied down for no reason. Please pray and ask God for guidance before you send your love one there. I know that there will be nothing done about and I can’t hardly sleep wondering how my mom will be treated tonight without the patients there would be no jobs for the employees to work . I simply don’t understand this .
No visitor policy has really given this place time to show true colors. Nurses understaffed. Cant get them on phone. When you do, inaccurate and inconsistent information given. Doctors dont have time to call. CNAs are unsupervised. Patient was in a regular hospital improving..lasted 3 weeks here. Its a sedate, vent, and wait place not a rehab. Near the end an unannounced visit was made Dr said visit but nurses didnt know anyone was coming patient found in dirty bed, dehydrated lips cracked, incorrect information written on nurses board, sedated, and critical....if you cant put chapstick on someone or change the bed, what else are they not doing? Quality care had been called about twice a week..why?- nurses answering saying call back they are all in Meetings, to inconsistent information given, to doctors no able to be reached. Do not send anyone here. Patient s are not treated with dignity or respect. They are a room number. And someone else is waiting on a room...so not a rehab! To go from improvement to heavily sedated and vent settings raised , along with too much blood thinner so back to hospital, off vent, back to select, back on vent and critical and gone in 3 weeks... something definitely not right. Patients are not wanting to go here..dont blame them. Bad place.
