We would like to welcome you to our Police K-9 page. Our mission is to help the City of Selma by using our K-9 Unit to apprehend suspects in the commission of a crime and seizing illegal narcotics. We work with joint agencies in an effort to reduce illegal Narcotic trafficking and tracking violent offenders. We have three K-9's in the unit, K-9 "Asta", K-9 "Sammi" and K-9 "Shorty". These K-9's are superior animals, trained by Alabama Canine Law Enforcement Officers Training Center, Inc. located in Samantha Alabama. Our K-9 partners are eager to work and very loyal to their handlers. We hope you will enjoy keeping up to date on their activity as we help to make the community a safer place to live and work.
