When I first moved here I had a beautiful view of the wooded area, and the deer that came out in the early morning, and a parking space right in front of my apartment. How nice! Well, this summer they built a 10 unit garage, I now have a view of those garages and have also lost my parking space. Asked if I could move to a different unit but there is a $500.00 fee to do that. Its been a few months since they put a new air conditioner in my apartment but maintenance hasn't been back to finish putting the molding on around the unit. It seems it takes a while to get any maintenence requests done. I have met some very nice people here and enjoy their company so it would be hard to move but....hmmmm
On a scale of 1-10 the apts rank at about 8. some things that should be done are as follows: When rules are made they should be kept or some sort of fine should be assessed. Especially as concerns parking by red curb or blocking driveways and handicapped lowered curbing. Better snow removal and lower patios should be shoveled by seneca Pointe as they were when I moved in. The grass cutting is atrocious especially between the apts and the sidewalk. Smoking is going on in the rooms as well as pot as you can smell it in the hallways. There should be a security guard on duty when manager not an duty to stop the late night coming and going between when mgr goes off duty and through 4 to 5 in the morning. We should also have a qualified maintenance man on duty every day.
my mom moved into seneca pointe apartments about 6 months ago. and she loves it they have so much to offer beauty salon gym stuff for her to do like bingo and and and dinners with the other seniors in the building. and the staff running the place Emily the management is a very nice and does her job well she I on point no pun intended. and the maintenance guy is Shawn is on his job the minute something breaks it's fix . so thanks Emily the management for giving my mom a great safe place to live . signed Keith
Make sure management explains all the new secret rules they make up as they go along! Tonight, July 25, 2016, while being served notice that tenants were forming a Tenant Association after numerous complaints, Mgr Linda Hollander became so "threatened" that she immediately grabbed the Tenant owned Bingo equipment and locked it in her office essentially cancelling the game & ending a 14 year continuous streak of Bingo playing by senior citizens. In 68 years I've never seen anyone take something that doesn't belong to them as a first reaction to feeling threatened by a piece of paper. Not to mention the new, curious rule forbidding former tenants to visit their friends here and play Bingo as guests of their friends. It seems management is afraid what former residents will say about their new Senior Apartment facilities and cause current residents to move out! That one almost tops the best new rule yet- if tenants who rented smoking allowed apartments want to smoke, they now have to go outside on a bench fun in the snow/rain for Seniors or SIT INSIDE YOUR CAR WITH THE WINDOWS ROLLED UP!!!! some fun in 90 degree heat, huh!. These rules are actually written in their NEW smoking policy with no feedback from tenants! Take it or move out! You can't make that one up!! Despite numerous attempts to negotiate with management, residents were forced to rebuy new Bingo equipment to renew their 14 year old game. Now Mgr. Linda Hollander has removed tenants "Pass the Ace" game from the Seneca Pointe Scheduling; but Seniors are taking matters into their own hands to continue playing. I can't wait to see what she does with the Wi-Fi Bowling Game?????? MY MOM USED TO SAY "NEVER GET BETWEEN A MOTHER AND HER BINGO GAME". Ahhhhhh, serenity! Now, Seneca Pointe has invented new rules involving vacating their apartments that they never informed their tenants about! They now present a list of refurbishing items and ridiculous pricing meant to return the apartment to new condition with little or no normal wear considerations on their part. The best part is they expect tenants to blindly sign a Seneca Pointe form agreeing to pay for whatever repairs they decide the apartment needs-with no input from the tenant!!
Alot secret rules Corporation on cares about the final dollar and not the tenants.
Living in a two bedroom apartment just the right size. Lots of amenities. Thoroughly enjoy it here. Would recommend to anyone looking to downsize!
