Station is just okay for the purpose it serves. One has to take tunnel if travelling towards Philly. Parking always full during office hours and its not a covered parking. Trains are usually delayed 5-10 mins max. I heard new station is built nearby with more facilities.
I visited this station many times. Quite happy with the availability at parking lot. There are only 2 platforms one platform to Philadelphia and other platform is from Philadelphia. There is no place to sit or there is no shelter. This is hard true. Another strange and awful thing is that.... whenever train reaches this station from Philadelphia, the train stops slant. For first timers here, it is hard to get down even.
Haven’t been riding the train since covid and decided to ride to save on gas but one thing hasn’t changed! Train over 30 minutes lates never reliable.. much money we pay we should be reimbursed for this.
It's definitely not the best SEPTA station I've been to. There are not many places to sit on the inbound platform going to Philly. Also to get from the parking lot to the inbound platform you need to go through an underpass that's pretty dirty and could be sketchy at night. On the positive side there is usually tons of spaces in the free parking lot and the ride from Claymont to Philadelphia is quick.
It is great that this place has free parking and lots of spots, but that station could be upgraded to have signage or digital boards.
Lots of parking for taking SEPTA, but no other station amenities otherwise.
Big parking lot, no place to sit, no cover and the train is always late.
