Rehabilitation therapy, exercise groups, and a wide variety of activities are offered daily in a peaceful setting. Activities include arts and crafts, Holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and many others. We accept residents with a wide range of disorders and conditions, including residents recovering from hip replacements, knee surgeries or other orthopedic conditions. At Serenity Transitional Care, we specialize in providing skilled care with medically complex adults as well as a rehab program with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Serenity’s staff are knowledgable, skilled and passionate about the care we provide for our residents. Our staff are kind and patient with our residents and families of residents. Serenity has an amazing management team, that goes above and beyond to ensure that we continue to prove the best care we are able to, and ensure to put processes in place to address and fix concerns that may arise. Every member of our team loves what they do and it shows in the level of care our residents receive. Serenity has the best therapy team in town, and we strive to get patients home quickly, but safe! We have a short term rehab unit, for those in the community that want to stay close to home while recovering. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Serenity Transitional Care knows that it is the gem of Southern Idaho and the number one choice for rehabilitation in the greater Twin Falls area! The staff go above and beyond for each and every resident making them feel as if they are family. We have an amazing and fun activity department, that is dedicated to the residents and ensuring that they have activities to keep their minds and bodies engaged! If you are looking for a home like environment with a dedicated care team choose Serenity!!!!
I don't even know where to start. From forcing unvaccinated staff to wear masks so "they are different than the vaccinated" to staff being belittled, made fun of, written up under false allegations and made to work shifts they were not hired to work. This place has the appearance of a lovely facility, but appearances lie. The residents are treated well, but if you are not liked by the clique you are forced out and if you are forced out you are paid MINIMUM WAGE for your hard work if you do not give a full 2 weeks notice. Do not work for this company. Unfair and unjust policies.
They are not a team building company. The DON and ADON only care about demanding too much of their nurses and causing gossip in their office. They are non compliant with ADA requirements and demand that staff work without any sort of restrictions or assistive devices. They refuse doctor's notes unless they deem them good enough, won't let you return until you have one, and then accuse you of being a no call no show and fire you even though they told you not to come in. They won't allow staff to call in sick unless they find their own replacement and will just make staff come to work sick and expose the resident's to whatever the staff has. They are consistently short staffed and get belligerent with over taxed and under payed nurses for stuff not getting done, but will not leave their office to help make it happen. They play favorites inside of the building and outsiders are excluded and treated badly. I would never ever recommend anyone to work there under the current DON and ADON. Very poor leadership, run away as fast as you can!
This is the email for myself and my husband. I have worked as a nurse in the Magic Valley since 1996 in various skilled nursing facilities. I have also worked in the Pocatello area that includes for the State of Idaho. Serenity is where I have found my second home. This facility and company are what people need to have available for rehabilitation after a surgery, illness or injury. This is the first facility that I have been in where it is truly rehabilitation to go home and continue on with your life as it was or better!! We want that for every patient we have enter through our doors. Most people think that a SNF is the end, but Serenity offers a chance at a new beginning, a continuation, at your best life!! I love our staff, they are the most compassionate, caring and driven people to bless this community with their skills, insight and support. We have dedicated housekeeping staff that are an everyday staple in the patients lives. The dietary department serves hot, nutritious and highly raved about food and their menu is not like any other. We have our own transportation specialists who work hard to get every appointment met and are coordinated by our phenomenal HIM. We are blessed to have a LSW who runs our social services department to ensure that psychosocial needs are met and discharged home go smoothly. Our BOM/HR is always a patient and staff advocate and works closely with all insurances. Our Activity Director finds enovative and fun things for our patients to stay active! And we have a facility dog. Our Administrator absolutely is out visiting with patients, family and staff every day. The Maintenance director has been there during the building of Serenity and knows every nook and cranny. The therapy team at Serenity is not like any other!! Each discipline sees their patients 5-7 times a week striving for the ultimate goal, to get our patients home safely and at their highest functional level. Our providers are available at any time to help their patients and they see them regularly, even to just change/clean their fish tanks!!! We strive to be the best and provide care centered around our patients, their needs and desires. I have never been happier working at a facility. I am so proud and blessed to be a member of the most amazing team. Tanabell is the best company to work for. They offer so much to their employees and patients. If you want the absolute best care and supportive staff or employer and co workers, this is the place to look.
The caregivers and leadership team all strive to provide a positive impact on our community. This is an excellent long-term care provider.
I love Serenity. The best part of my job is being around the residents, there are so many amazing people here. The stories the residents tell are fantastic. The best part of my day is hearing them laugh and seeing them smile. If I can put a smile on the face of a resident, my day is complete.
I worked here in 2021. I have since moved but I hope a place like this is around if I ever need rehab. The whole team including nursing, activities, housekeeping, administration and therapy are all comprised of kind and hardworking people and as a clinician I can confirm that the patients are prioritized! Would whole-heartedly recommend!
My mother-in-law came to visit 2 weeks ago and was so impressed she decided to come there to live. As a family who have visited Serenity we are very impressed. The rooms are very clean, meals are great. This facility has a great feeling about it. Exceptionally well kept. The dining area is like a restaurant. Very pleased with the staff the way they help the residents. Recommend it highly.
We had a tremendous experience with this facility. We had a need for quick action in getting hospice involved. The staff here went above and beyond, as dad passed away the day after release from Serenity. Had it not been for them, dad would have missed passing at home. Meanwhile the care was fabulous. As dad was transported down the hallway, probably 15 different staff members waved goodbye and called his name. It is because they knew his name indicated the level of understanding that goes on there. ABSOLUTELY I recommend this facility!
Serenity Transitional Care is the most amazing place to work. The joy that we take in caring for our residents is what healthcare is all about! We make the differences is people lives and Serenity is the place to make that happen!
