Seth William Meskin MD

Dr. Seth Meskin is a specialist for Fuchs condition and cataract surgery. He is an excellent doctor who gives you time and education about your condition. I recently had cataract surgery from him and was very happy with everything.

I recently underwent cataract surgeries in both my eyes 2 weeks apart. I am thrilled with the results. My eyesight went from blurry to amazing 20/20 vision. Although the skill and success of the surgery is very much appreciated, the purpose of this review is to give Dr. Meskin the recognition as an outstanding person. He provided courtesy, kindness, compassion, and caring sevice from my first visit to the last post-op check-up. He spent a great deal of time explaining the procedure, answered many questions, and gave me the secure feeling that was needed for me to proceed with the surgery. Dr. Meskin and his organization has been nothing but wonderful. He and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. My entire experience not only met but far exceeded all my expectations. Their willingness to answer my questions & their timely follow-up, has been phenomenal. It’s easy to see why Dr. Meskin is so highly sought after and is considered one of the best in his field. I can not say enough good things about him and his staff. He explained the procedure, the recovery & expectations in great detail. He made me feel I was safe and in perfect hands for the surgery. Excellent experience all around. A very pleasant and knowledgeable eye surgeon. He took his time at every appointment, answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I never felt rushed. Best of all, the results could not have been better. He explained exactly what results I could expect and he was spot on. My cataract surgery was slightly more complicated than most and I am so pleased with how well both eyes turned out. In October 2019 I had cataract removal surgery on both of my eyes. The first surgery was October 2 and the second October 16. Both surgeries were performed b Dr. Seth W. Meskin. Before a procedure like this is done you have tests and appointments with Dr Meskin to explain what needs to be done and how he will help you get the best vision you can. He takes the time to listen to your questions and concerns and answers so you understand. This relieved some of my anxiety about surgery. Allowed me to get to know the doctor a little bit. After having the surgeries, I find Dr Meskin to be a very good doctor who accomplished what he said he would do. My eyesight is amazing now. I do have to say each doctor, nurse and employee who works at Eye Physicians & Surgeons and The Surgical Center has always been outstanding and continues to do so.

Dr. Meskin and the entire Eye Physicians and Surgeons staff are wonderful. They always make you feel welcome and you will rarely find them without a smile on their faces. I shopped around a lot when trying to decide where to get my laser corrective surgery PRK done. I am so thrilled I decided to put my trust in Dr. Meskin. From the very start, he was so thorough. He went through every step of the process in great detail which made me feel very comfortable. That level of comfort continued all the way through the actual procedure. Dr. Meskin has a way of keeping you very calm and explaining everything that is happening so you do not have any concerns. Dr. Meskin’s knowledge and experience are unquestionably impressive. But maybe more important than that is he is a genuinely kind and friendly soul. This is a doctor you won’t mind having to go back and visit for post op checkups. I never had any doubts. Oh, and for the record, my vision is perfect! Such a pleasant experience from start to finish. 100% recommend Dr. Meskin if you are toying with the idea of corrective surgery.

Dr. Meskin was recommended to me by another ophthalmologist since he is a cornea specialist. Dr. Meskin took time to explain everything to me and also treated me in a very compassionate manner. He told me exactly what he was going to and why. He did not make me feel rushed and answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. In my experience, it's not common to find this in a medical practice anymore. His staff also gave me a sheet with the medications listed that I was supposed to take and for how long. That was very helpful and again, not common. His practice also has Saturday appointments. Now that's almost unheard of. To me this shows a high level of concern for patients. I would definitely recommend him. Update- I have to add that when I had a recurrence of eye pain months later that was concerning, I called Dr. Meskin's office. To my amazement he called me back and took several minutes explaining the probably cause and reassuring me that it would most likely go away which it did and advising me to check in with my regular opthamologist. I can't recall any other doctor ever taking time of their busy schedule to talk to me over the phone. Since he's about an hour's drive from where I live, it was greatly appreciated. He's a great guy.

3 P's accurately describe Dr. Meskin and his team: Professional, Personal, Perfect. No exaggeration. Dr. Meskin provided PRK Surgery for me one year ago and he not only answered every question, he personally followed up after surgery and offers complimentary visits to his office for a year after the surgery. I have zero hesitation and zero reservation in recommending anyone to him.

I was referred to Dr. Meskin for corneal evaluation and had read good reviews; however, this is not one of them. I am a healthcare professional and scheduled an appointment for a consultation outside my usual business hours, but an unexpected event at work caused me to be delayed and I requested the appointment to be rescheduled. I was given another appointment but was ill and unable to make it, which I notified the office as early as possible and was told to expect a call for a new appointment. No follow-up call was made and when I reached out, I was notified that the doctor would no longer see me due to the rescheduled appointments. I can understand having a policy like this in place, but it was never verbalized during my interactions with the scheduling assistants. Furthermore, when I requested to explain the situation to the doctor himself, I was denied the opportunity. This was the most egregious reply ... no provider should refuse to speak with a patient. Disappointed.
