First time visiting this park. Convenient location. Decent amount of parking. There is a large field for any sport or activity that need it. The kids play ground has swings and a large slide. My son enjoyed the park very much. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Small playground with some decent toys. The playground itself and the surrounding area was a litter dissaster. There was trash and garbage EVERYWHERE!! We left due to this. The park itself is mostly a large playfield used for youth sports. Bathrooms are little closets with no light. A complete sink outside them with a bar of soap. There are better parks to visit with clientele that actually care about it.
Nice park quiet place to kick back....
There is a great deal to do at this park. Soccer fields, copious amounts of tennis courts, clean bathrooms at every turn it would seem. Not to mention it is in the center of the Jordan River Trail. They have free WiFi and charging stations with a convient bench all the way around the Golf course was what hooked me. Now for the bad...that river stinks like a skunk in tuna fish boxers. The wind is brutal and unforgiving. At least the homeless population is polite and respectful. Although the occasional "F" bomb is dropped and can be heard for many yards. They don't seem to disturb or harass other park goers. Take a few hours and check it out. By the way it is also called "Glendale Park"
At this time spring of 2021, the water park, raging Waters I think it was, is not open and the park is being cleaned up and remodel, so most everything there is closed or being torn down. But, if you're wanting to find a place to park and nap, make a phone call, catch up on your text messages, catch up on your Facebook notifications, etc, etc, etc.... This is a great place to find easy parking and take care of business whatever your business may be. I personally like the area for the ease of finding a shaded parking spot, and taking care of my own personal business.
Nice, but by the rivers is a real mess. Lots of broken glass and homeless camps.
Very clean and quiet. A nice place to relax!and take your kids, easy way to get on Jordan river trail for a great walk or bike ride. Lots of homeless in the area also.
Great abandoned water park across from here
Good little park - close to some restaurants, easy to hit for a picnic. Only drawback is lack of tables. As far as I saw, there is only one. But a decent kids play area, and plenty of room for soccer, football, or just playing around.
As far as small neighborhood parks go, this park isn't too bad. The actual "playground" section of the park was updated a few years ago with a more modern style of playground, including a small Swingset, a small multi-use "Junglegym" with several climbing activities and a small slide, and the play area is filled with some type of shock absorbing safety material, to help prevent scrapes and bruises from "energetic" play. The overwhelming majority of this park, is just a grass field though. There are a couple soccer goal frames without nets, but that's about it. Just about the only trees in the park are the large trees that follow the Jordan River, as it runs along the East and most of the North sides of the park. There is also no fence along the border with the river, so you could possibly fish in the river from it's bank along the park's edge, but you may have to argue with a Muskrat, Beaver, or Raccoon for your catch, since all 3 tend to live on the banks of the river in this area. Muskrat dens in particular can be seen along the park's riverbank. The lack of trees does make it a good spot for field sports, as well as Kite on windy days or Drone flying, but there isn't much shade in the summer, so don't forget Sunblock. Also, lots of people take their dogs there to run and play... so keep an eye out for "Biological Landmines" , or at least check the bottom of your shoes before getting into your vehicle, as people here rarely seem to clean up after their pets.
