Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence.
The World Health Organization defines sexual health as a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity.

Dr. John Beiter earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University. He is educated and experienced in both the business and clinical environments with over 30 years of service. He is licensed as a psychologist with the states of Michigan and Pennsylvania [LP]. Additionally, he is certified as an Employee Assistance Professional [CEAP] and Substance Abuse Professional [SAP]. Dr. Beiter received his certification as a sex therapist from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists [AASECT].
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Beiter’s business background includes banking, finance, sales & marketing and 12 years at a Fortune 500 corporation as a Management Consultant in the Organization Development Division of the Human Resources Department. He remains involved with the business community as an Executive Coach with an internationally known leadership consulting organization – representative companies include: Bayer Corporation, PNC Bank, PPG, Siemens, Chrysler, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Caterpillar.
