About

www.sgtpeppersgrille.com

"Truly a "mom and pop" operation - We have been a part of Oakdale and the surrounding community since the early 90s. Originally called Greenstreets, we changed to the Sgt. Peppers name in 1996. In 2003, we had outgrown our Century Ave location and moved a couple miles up the road to our current spot on Helena Ave N. We pride ourselves on ACUTALLY being a neighborhood bar and grille where everyone is welcome. Hope to see you soon!"

Was a good first experience here, nice little bar and grill here in Oakdale. Prices not too bad, nice atmosphere, and apparently the Pull Tab capital of Minnesota, was bumping! Chicken Strips had great potential but there was way too much breading and not enough chicken, C+ for my score. Was told the burger was good, fish the same!
No one in our group had been here before, but we all enjoyed our experience. It's a family restaurant vibe with free popcorn and pretty good food. We had a group of six and all ordered different items. Our group loved the onion rings - they were crispy and had a good batter. We also loved the Honey BBQ wings. The Pretzella Burger was above average. The Pulled Pork Quesadilla was full of flavor, but it's very heavy. The Fettuccini Alfredo, Frisco Burger, and Sante Fe Sandwich were all okay but nothing special. We also split a chocolate cake for a group member's birthday; it was a little dry. The highlight of our experience, however, was our server, Lauren. She was very kind, friendly, and helpful with recommendations.
Great food. Had a gift card to use. I'm sad we didn't find this place sooner! Glad we had the gift card so we could try it! Ribs were great! Carbanara was awesome! Service was very friendly when we grabbed togo!Food: 5/5
Convenient location across the lot from the Comfort Inn! Sports bar with really good food and great friendly service. Sat at the bar and the bartender was on top of everything! Can be a little loud if any local teams are playing, but fun atmosphere! Walleye finger appetizers were DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
We've ordered curbside several times since covid, and the food has always been. This time, dining in was nice. They always get really busy about 6pm so go before then. My wife had a Cubano sandwich from the specials menu. I had Lulu's chicken tacos, which I'm sure I'll order again.
Nice local spot to grab some drinks and/or food. The popcorn is a nice touch, especially to keep the kids entertained before the food arives. There is a large bar section and a couple dinning sections. Definitely lots of locals and return customers on both sides, but especially on the bar side. The dinning side is typically an older crowd coming out for a home style dinner. Our waiter was great. Super friendly with great customer service. I had the Gyro with fries which was pretty good. Not exactly a truly authentic gyro, but close enough for my needs at the time. My wife had the Red Bell Pepper Penne, which was great. The exterior of the chicken was a bit tough, but the inside was juicy. The pasta and sauce was really good though. Overall, a good place to visit for a dive bar restaurant feel with good home made style food.
I just want to say thanks to the staff at Sgt. Peppers. We had my sister's memorial in the banquet room and everything was wonderful. Dean was so helpful with planning the food and the process! Richard did a fantastic job of taking care of our needs. Food was out of this world, everybody loved it! Thank you Sgt. Peppers for making a sad situation a little easier. The Buechner Family
We went here for lunch time bingo. The service was good and our waiter was really personable. My table got the farmers burger, hot dago, byoc, and fettuccine Alfredo. The burger was cooked well, the hot dago was flavorful, the chicken was juicy and the fettuccine was delicious! The fries were good and hot and the fettuccine came with a cup of soup. The soup of the day was Italian beef and vegetables and it was delicious. When we first got there we were treated with complimentary popcorn and our drinks were fast and cheap. Being one of the only places that offer Sunday bingo we are certain we are coming back! Update: Came back for Sunday bingo, got the jumbo shrooms and they were amazing! Came with a cup of their beer cheese and omg it was so good! They are massive and definitely something you gotta share. They're also salty - so make sure you have some full glasses of beer or a drink of choice! Update 01/23: Their nachos are also really good. Vegetarian options: While there were plenty of meat options, many of the pastas were meat free. Parking: The parking is shared with Wild Boar and can get congested at times. Even when the parking lot is full, the restaurant isn't too packed.
Friday, all you can eat fishfry, not just for lent, but all year! Great service. Fish is so tasty, and they make tarter sauce the same way I do at home. Fantastic!Food: 5/5
Unexpected surprise. Popcorn offered as you sit. Prompt service and prebussing. Friendly staff and best of all good food. The kids got fresh watermelon as a fruit cup side, jerk sauce on wings was spicy but delicious and the Caesar salad had tomato and eggs. Great family outing with the kids and seriously zero complaints. Kid-friendliness: Popcorn right away, fresh sides, crayons and kids cups, suckers at the door.
