Shack U is a year-round basketball training center for girls and boys, grades 2nd - 12th. Shack U is owned by current Newark High School Head Freshman Coach and Varsity Assistant Dan Shackleford, Jr. Dan is a former Newark Wildcat standout and was also an assistant coach for the 2006-2007 Harvest Prep Girls' Varsity team.
Other trainers will consist of former Ohio State Women's Basketball greats D'wan Shackleford-Vickroy and Tanya McClure along with other Licking County greats, both past and present.
Our goal is to develop premier young athletes while fostering teamwork and character-building. The facility is opening soon, located at the end of West Main Street, just past the old Advantage Fitness Club.
