Beautiful paths amongst the trees - like walking in Jurrasic Park! Or walk along the waterway. Keep eyes open for Gopher Tortoises! Take a peek from the bridge to see Alligator Habitat. Basketball courts and tennis courts and big plays cape for kids. Nature centers have lots of info, and washrooms are available. We take out dogs there daily for walks.
A nice park on the intercoastal and in a residential neighborhood. Basketball courts, tennis courts, a nice playground for kids, and extensive trails, which are well kept and great for birding. This area is great when we have the falling frozen iguana warnings.
Nice park with large, mostly shaded playground canopies installed over them. Swings, seesaw, slides, some unique climbing features for the older kids, but plenty for the littles too. The play area has wood chips on the ground, and is surrounded with sand/gravel. Several shelters with picnic tables and barbeques available to rent, no one was here when we came so we sat under one to take a break and have a snack. We parked by the nature center and they were unfortunately closed the weekday we went, there was a sign on the door that said they are open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, I would call before you visit. We ended up here as a spur of the moment thing, and didn't plan ahead for hours they'd be open. This was probably my son's favorite park we've visited in the area so far.
This is where people of all ages in Venice can come to walk, jog, or ride a bike. The main trail is all paved and is quite a good distance. I was here on a chilly and windy day and it was quite good for that because the scenery and inter-coastal are very nice, but you are not missing out on a beach day or anything. Note: Google maps does not take you to the main entrance at least it didn’t for me but it’s a huge facility and is not difficult to find.
Beautiful Park! Great paved paths along the water to walk your dogs. Nice large parking lot for when it starts to fill up! Would definitely come back!
There is a garden in the parking area with local plants and descriptions, I always find this nice and helpful. I stopped in the nature center and the gentleman was super helpful and kind. I took the path that ran along the water towards the train depot then returned. It was quite a walk and not much shade. But being next to the water was very pleasant. The paths are pretty busy, however bikers are very respectful to alert walkers. The facilities were very clean and accessible.
So much to do for kids and adults has nature trails and information to read about local plant life and the trails themselves it has basketball courts tennis courts. And it has a really nice place for kids to play they have plenty of room and the playground equipment is updated they have swings and they have bathrooms and water fountains available it really is a little gem in our community definitely worth a trip there with the family. I say trip but it's more like a good place just to or walk to if you wanted depending on where you live. It really is a really nice place and it's a very safe feeling place because there's always groups of parents and kids around and all parents do pay attention to all kids so it's nice to know that. Most people are friendly and chatty while their children are playing I've never ran into somebody that hasn't wanted to chat or just say hi and are friendly I always say hello myself just to be cordial there's never any issues at that Park that I'm aware of and people don't argue or anything there it's a nice middle class Park. I believe I said this already but I never seen anyone there that looks sketch I'm bringing my nieces and nephews there at least once a week to get extra exercise for them and even for myself when we walk the trails it's definitely a great when the weather is nice and cool. I would highly recommend this park if you want to have a nice spot to let your kids get some energy out and relax. I usually spend about an hour to an hour and 30 minutes there Gove or take Playground: All the equipment is new or newer and is all in really good condition no old outdated equipment that could hurt the kids or anything like that may have some cool little things on the playground equipment including the slide and this one thing I really don't know what to call it I'm drawing a blank but they also have ample swing sets too for all sizes from little kids that have to be put in the seats to the regular swing set seats Restrooms: Very clean and very well maintained they have never been closed when I've Picnic area: They definitely have picnic areas and picnic tables but there are plenty of areas where if you wanted to lay a blanket out and just have a small little picnic you can do that as well it's a really cute Park
Wonderful place for a walk or a bike ride. Pets welcomed. There are trails through the wooded area which lead to the walkway along the canal.
It's right by our house so we go all the time, but there's everything here! They have tennis and basketball courts, playground, picnic tables, a pavilion, and clean restrooms! There's also a butterfly garden and a nature center, but I've never been inside the nature center. It's always closed no matter what day or time of day I go. You can also get to the Legacy Trail through the park!
Great trails. They keep this park super clean too! Perfect place to go for a walk with a stroller. Only thing I wish the bathroom had a baby changing station.
