This is the best Chinese food I have eaten in the Seattle It is full of color, aroma and taste, and the service is also very friendly. Every dish has the color they should have. In many Chinese restaurants in the United States, no matter what dish you order, it will always be the color of soy sauce. The family in charge of the restaurant is from Taiwan. In addition to Chinese, they can also speak Taiwanese.
One of the worst Chinese restaurants. AVOID IT! The service is awful! We waited for 10 minutes for the host. The suggestions weren't good. The size of the food was not the usual for a Chinese restaurant, so the prices were overrated. We didn't like the service, and our tip was 5% of the check, but the waitress forced us to give her 18%. I want to complain to the Seattle office. The tip isn't mandatory for a party of 2.
Delicious and flavorful Chinese food in the International District. I particularly recommend the hot & sour soup and the hand-shaven barleygreen noodles. Packed with chewy noodles, fresh veggies, and tender squid, this dish is a high point on the menu. The kind staff provide excellent service. A favorite for dining in or taking out.Food: 5/5
Surprisingly better than expected! Shrimp is the the best, crispy and still get to retain the taste of freshness. Had rice cake, tofu and veggie - all are pretty good. Would be happy to visit again.
Shanghai Garden is a time-tested, honored, reliable, and truly amazing restaurant. The wait time, even at their busiest times, is rarely more than 10 minutes, and once you're seated to the time you're served, 20 minutes tops. Best of all, the food is consistently amazing. I highly recommend the green shaved barley noodles, they melt like heaven in your mouth with a delightful, light sauce and delicately scrambled eggs. The sweet chili fried shrimp - so crispy, so tasty, so flavorful. The food is so delicious, before you know it, all you've got is a table full of empty plates. Do yourself a favor and thoroughly enjoy a tasty dinner at this little hidden treasure of Seattle's Chinatown district.
Great neighborhood Chinese spot. Known for their hand-shaven barley noodles but everything is really solid here. Vegetable moo-shu and Peking Duck order ahead! are other standouts. Had kung pao tofu on my last visit and it was 10/10.
Food isn’t even good - specially for the price you’re paying. Service isn’t good… I paid a ~55 dollar bill i was with someone else, and I left 2 dollars as tip because I didn’t feel the service was that good - I recognize this was less than suggested but again, service plus food weren’t that good. I paid at the counter, and the waitress went straight to the table I sat to pretty much ask me if I seriously left 2 dollars as tip. I felt forced to leave more, and I did it because I won’t cause a problem in public, but this behavior was disgusting to be honest. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.
My friend said this place was really good so I went. I'm guessing she'd give it 5 stars. I had Szechuan Chicken, wish was rather simple and not complex and a touch too sweet. She had shaved barley noodle with egg and beef I found that to be quite greasy and my stomach was unsettled after eating here, I think from all the grease. I would not go back.
Great for a post game meal! Great menu selection and attentive service. We'll definitely be back to try more things to find a few favoritesFood: 4/5
Love the house special rice cakes with chicken, shrimp, calamari and napa cabbage. The hot and sour soup was also very good - loaded with tofu, mushrooms and bamboo shoots. A very satisfying meal!
