Our mission is to provide education and access to sustainable nutrition, reduce waste levels, and decrease chemical use on the soil in our watershed.
We believe that educating our youth about sustainable agriculture is important for healthy growth in the local economy and in human character development. By providing an organic garden at the Sharon Town Beach, daycare attendees and beach-goers alike can have the opportunity to reach the next level of horticultural knowledge. Not only will residents be able to learn about sustainable agriculture, but Little Rascals will have easier access to more nutritional and healthy foods. We would like this program to be completely independent of outside financing at some point, but for right now donations for the educational garden will be gladly accepted and greatly appreciated. In order to produce organic fertilizer for our garden, we will use a vermicomposting technique, but we don't have sufficient population numbers just yet. There are a number of ways you can help out our cause: volunteering to garden or teach, talking about your business or organization (farm, restaurant, etc...), donating supplies(garden tools, shovels, hoses, buckets, fencing, etc...), starting your own compost at home, or if you would like to fund this operation directly, please call either of the numbers on our card. Thank you for your time. -J & M
