Description

Welcome to ShBoom. The San Ramon Valley's Premier Dance Club. We are dedicated to bringing you the best of the classic throwbacks from the 80’s and 90’s, to “Top 40’s” dance hits. On Wednesdays it’s Latin Dance night, and on Thursday it’s County Western Dance night. We leave no stone unturned when it comes to providing you the best dance music for every taste. Before dancing the night away, come in and enjoy our complimentary dinner buffet from 6 – 8pm, catered by La Belle Cuisine, led by Chef Safir from France. Or if you just want to savor one of our signature cocktails for happy hour or simply enjoy a beer and watch a game, ShBoom is the perfect complement to your daily grind.
Established in 1989, the first ShBoom opened in Cupertino in 1989, with the second following in Pleasanton in 1991. In 2006 the Pleasanton venue relocated to San Ramon, in what was formerly a TGI Fridays.

No matter how much I begged or pleaded to put Bollywood music they were hell bent upon playing hard core Punjabi music . After a while it almost felt like they were doing it on purpose since I requested Bollywood . Seemed petty .Good luck to the stags . Vegetarian options: Boring
I tried Gaucho on a Friday night but it was pretty dead inside, less than 20 people. The music was good, DJ was spinning and a handful of people were dancing. The new decor is really nice I like upgrades they made. But they've got to hire some promoters or something to get the word out, or change the name back to ShBoom since it was amazing back then! Maybe Saturdays are better.
I was here with my friends, though I never heard much about this club. There was a live musical band and hence each one had to pay $20 which I think was not charged to people who came late. Anyhow, there wasn't much of a crowd and the band was okay. There was only a bar but nothing to eat. It says they are open till 2 am but by 11, itself they started saying the bar is closed and soon we are going to close. Not a great experience as some of my friends came a bit late who had to leave within 20 minutes as they closed early. I will not recommend this place for a club.
Empty and the few people who were there , were so depressing
It's within my age group. The music is generally pretty good , I think they are over priced, I've seen people , younger people leave the line because of the cost. The food is served way to early if you want to stay and dance also, but I feel safe there your security is good . I like daning there because it helps my relax. Juanita
Great music, and a mature, dressed to impress crowd. Very secure, spacious and clean environment. One of these nights, I'll get there early enough to try out the buffet. Definitely one of my favorite places to go.
I have went to this Club twice once Last July and Recently on August 13, 2016 there was a performer at the same time I went Kimball Hooker he was amazing this Man do not have a Band and i believed he sang with Tracks but indeed he killed the performance and entertainment was Awesome. Hope ShBoom brings this performer at least once a month to bring a Highlight at this Place would be a BIG +... Hope to see this performance again. And for those who had comments about this place having OLD FOLKS hey it's all about having a GREAT TIME of your life. Life is too short so just ENJOY....
Cozy little spot in San Ramon. Saturday night was an adult crowd, no scares of groping or other creeps. The DJ was good & played a good variety of music from 90s to today. Would go again.
$16 cover and not worth it. Bartender was awesome, 5 stars for her. Definitely an older crowd and not busy enough on a Friday night for a cover charge like that.
Most of the time they just wave me throughas i’ve been a costumer for a year. Tonight, they checked my identification and I complained to the manager. I feel like the the should be consistent. Either check every time or never. Long story short, they asked me to leave. I refused because I did not break any laws. The manager and owner told me never to come back and Shaboom’s isn’t for me because I complain too much. Yes, I complained before because one of the employees put a piece of chewed gum from his mouth into my friend’s drink. She thought it was a date rape pill. So, I guess the moral of the story here is if you choose to go here don’t complain. Otherwise, you’ll get banned from ever going back like me. Shoutout to Beto, Noelani, and the regular bartender you guys are wonderful.
