Where Local History is All About You!
SCHRC is the largest private archive in the state of Wisconsin dedicated to local history and open to the general public at little or no cost.
The Research Center began with one room and two drawers in a filing cabinet. It has grown to fill a 9,000 sq. ft. building which is packed to the rafters with local history.
The Sheboygan County Historical Research Center serves the public by collecting, preserving and making available the written documentation and images of Sheboygan County.
Local history books, photos, maps, family and general information about thousands of topics, genealogy classes, outreach programs and much more.
