My daughter just gave birth to her third child here at the new Aurora Medical Center of Sheboygan. It’s a very beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. I noticed that the Dr.s, nurses, and the assistants were very personable. It made my daughter feel completely comfortable. The quality of care is an A+. Everyone is friendly and kind. I like that the hospital is updated with the best technology. Amenities are totally awesome. It’s like having your own personal suite. The food has a little to be desired but still okay food
Dr. Hoell and his staff provide top-notch care. They treat me with the courtesy and respect due their most important patient, all while making me feel the comfort of being with best friends. That and fixing me up make it as enjoyable an experience as possible!
It's hard to give this place one star, because Dr Ritt really was excellent, but when it comes to people's lives being on the line, nothing but a 5 star facility should be acceptable. Only one of the doctors I met seemed both compassionate and competent, Dr Ritt. He was wonderful and took the time to explain things to me, listened to my concerns, and never once made me feel rushed. Only several of the nurses seemed to really care. I wish I could remember all the good ones names to give them credit, but I can only remember Monica. She was very caring and attentive. The emergency room was not clean. Both times I went, there was trash, and gauze on the floor of the room they put me in. The second time, the emergency room doctor had to inspect a very private part of my body, and did not even ask if I was okay with the nurse tech, or whatever she was, being in the room and observing. The emergency room doctor prescribed me a new medication, an antibiotic, and I was already on an antibiotic at the time. So I asked her if I was supposed to take both and she said she had no record that I was prescribed the first one and couldn't give me an answer. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE NO RECORD OF IT?!?! IT WAS PERSCRIBED AT THIS FACILITY!!!! I left the emergency room not even knowing what medications I should be taking, a potentially life threatening scenario. I then had to spend time on the phone calling various people before finally getting an answer, and I'm not sure that answer is even correct. Right now feel like my condition is not improving, and I am having side effects from this new medication, and instead of calling and asking I'm sitting here writing this review because I am SO DONE dealing with all of this, and I don't trust them to give me a correct answer anyway. I'm debating on driving over an hour away to the VA hospital in Milwaukee. Once admitted, the rest of the hospital seemed clean and upkept, so thats a positive. The building itself is brand new and very VERY nice. The hospital grounds are pretty with views of the acuity flag and the coal plant towers. All that being said, it's still much better than St Nicholas, so if you have to make a choice between the two, go here.
The emergency depth is awful. Had surgery done 2 days ago in st Luke's. In milwaukee. A complication came up so I went to emergency room in sheboygan and was seen by Kate R. They had me in there 4 4 hours and the doctor didn't even once come in my room. The nurse came to put some meds in my iv and I said what is that four and she replied didn't the doctor come in and talk to you I said no. So she told me it was for pain. Then we are waiting on the results of my CT scan and couldn't figure why it's been 3 hours now the nurse comes back in my room and tells me no one there can read the CT scan so they had to wait on the phone with my doctor that did my surgery in Sr Luke's to read the extra. So then I was told by the nurse not the Dr that I had bowl obstruction. I asked the nurse what can I do for that like what kind of food can I eat and explained I was eating like jello pudding eggs and she tells me she didn't now. And disconnected me from every thing and pointed and said my papers are on the cupboard and my shirt was on the chair and said the main exit is to my left and walked out. I will never go to aurora again. I will be going to prevera
Have never had an issue with Aurora until my boyfriend had an endoscopy. At first we were told the surgery would be at 9am then they came back and said it would be after noon since an emergency came in. When they came and got him they said nothing to anyone. No one ever went over the surgery what the expectations were or what was going to happen if they found anything, with myself or his parents. Then when he came back the nurse said what they had found and informed me that the doctor would be in shortly to go over what she found since she failed to do so in the recovery room. Doctor never came in to check on him and has yet to speak with him about anything that was found. The only form of communication was over texts and even those were not directly from her they were from her nurse who was reading off her notes. Will definitely never be coming back, especially with Dr. Baruah, after all post op appointments are finished.
I was in pain with a kidney infection. For the sad service I got I should have saved the money and tried urgent care again. I heard every staff members gripe because they were so loud at the nurses station, right after the announcement that it was "quiet" hours at the hospital. I was told I could have antibiotics and something for pain. At least I got the antibiotics. I'm going to pay several thousand dollars for antibiotics and a sleepless night. Oh and I missed work because I was in too much pain to sleep. Thanks alot
Under staffed and they are discharging my family member, who has never had high blood pressure in her life, with a bp of 210/91. Completely incompetent. I will never come here again. And I do not recommend anyone else come here either.
I find myself at an age where I'm spending more time in this medical facility for mainly cardiac and diabetic reasons. Since moving to their new facility, I've found the specialists and their staffs to have been outstanding in their knowledge and demeanor.
A relative recently had outpatient surgery in the orthopedic department. The staff was refreshing, professional and made his procedure way less stressful. Shout out to Jessica-Your personality in a nurse is just what every patient deserves and needs. You are Super Amazing and you put on some mean hosiery! Thank You Everyone!
50/50 opinion!! Quality docs and nurses with my experiences, but a few disappointments already since opening. And this week was the most infuriating, I witnessed the receptionist giving my appt away to a person with a later time and then I had to wait!! And the phone dead zone is ridiculous!! Really, can't call or text family from inside the ER??
