The pumps are always as nasty as the cashier's attitude. Whoever she was, she was snappy and rude to the other customers. When I saw this to prepay for my gas, I left and went elsewhere. Stand up games of chance take up most of the store interior. There are several other gas stations in the Town. Suggest you go elsewhere unless you are very on empty. Otherwise, don't waste your money here.
Virginia state law only requires you ask for ID if the customer looks under 30. I'm 44 and while I like to think I look younger than my age I certainly can't pass for under 30. On my best day. Ruined my evening for sure. I'll never spend another dollar here, I'll drive on into covington first an extra half hour for me but obviously my hard earned money isn't any good here.
If this location is really closed, it is not apparent because the sign with the prices is still on. All but one of the gas pumps was bagged as ‘out of order’ and the one available pump would not read my card after multiple attempts. Could not purchase gas here.
This does not have a restaurant and it don't have clean bathrooms I went there today and I'm a handy cap person and I do breathing treatment and I was riding an electric scooter I ask the clerk if I could do a breathing treatment outside at a electrical outlet and do you know they turned me down and I really needed to take a breathing treatment right then the person was very rude and it really hurt my feelings and I had to travel on my scooter which was running out of power I couldn't go very far so I went over to Hardee's and they let me do a breathing treatment the manager at Hardee's is a real nice man and he understood that I needed a breathing treatment right now and he let me do a breathing there plus gave me some discount coupons too shell is not a good place to go if your handy cap and need help cause they don't care because it's not the feeling like they can't breathe I hope they never feel the way I felt today thank you shell for not helping a handy cap person when I needed help today
If I could give zero stars, I would. I just have to say this: Shell needs to look into the management of its stores. I pulled into the lot of the Shell in Clifton Forge, VA at 11:54PM because I needed milk for my kid. As soon as I walk up to the door, it locks, the employee goes to turn off the light; I knock on the window where he can clearly see me and all he does is throw his hands in the air. They should be open until 12AM. I now don't have time to go all the way across town to the store that also closes at 12AM. Should I have checked my own level of milk before now? Yes, and I did. Do I have an unpredictable toddler? Yes, I do. If you are going to advertise and POST that you are open until 12AM, BE OPEN at 11:54. Bad service and clearly even worse management.
Filthy restroom. NOWHERE to put jacket, purse! I had to tie my jacket sleeves through the door handle and my purse handle to avoid setting them on the filthy floor. Horrid! Also, baby changing table, but I would never put my baby down in there if I had any other choice. In addition to lack of cleanliness, there was a giant garbage can literally backed up against the changing table. Seriously bad.
Absolutely horrible customer service. The punps weren't reading credit cards so instead of putting up signs to let customers know, you had to go inside and wait in line to speak to the cashier who then tells you, "It's not my problem."
Closed for now not sure of the status of reopening .....
