Great local shop with friendly owners and staff. Free wine tastings on Friday and pleasant vibe. The store has a few gems you can’t find at the mega chains like Total Wines.

I visited this store two days ago as I like to patronize local and family owned stores. I asked the man at the counter if he had Weller. He said not at all. I asked if he could help me choose a comparable or better. His reply was that I could look and he would help me later. I had no idea what to look for. He continued to wait on others as they came in and ignored me. I finally just walked out and spent $719.00 at Goody Goody. So much for local. I won’t go back.
The best selection of craft beers I’ve found anywhere near here, plus it’s all super organized and clean! Staff was super nice and knowledgeable and happy to help me with any questions I had.
Great locally owned and operated liquor store. Always have a terrific selection of beer, wine and spirits. Always look forward to a visit. If you're looking for a break from the "big box" stores, but don't want to sacrifice selection, Shellman's is your place. Give 'em a try.
Great experience! I stopped here to buy whiskey for my husband after he had a rough day. I wanted to get him something new, so I told the gentleman that my husband usually drinks single malt scotch but has been drinking whiskey lately. He said he knew just what we should get. He explained why he recommended it, and I even bought another type he mentioned. I took my treasures home and my husband loved them both. This wasn't the first time I got a great recommendation and excellent customer service from these folks, and I will certainly be back.
Giving this place 5 stars because they’re always awesome, and everyone should support local businesses. I buy 99% of my liquor from here. BUT the last time I was in 10 minutes ago, I had a Labor Day savings coupon that expired today and wanted to use it. The gentleman behind the counter said he couldn’t honor it because that was for the Bartonville location which I’ve never been to. Didn’t know how to contact the owner about this. So I thought I’d go ahead and give this place 5 stars, but would like an explanation as to why this couldn’t be honored at the store I signed up for the text rewards. Thanks!
After not shopping here for a couple years I decided to give my local liqour store another shot. I have since bought a couple bottles here, but hands down, out of the 6 or so stores that I frequent, the guys that work here are the most unfriendly workers. Even popped into the hellman's over in Bartonville a couple times, much better experience. This place is overpriced and I'm still not a fan of there point system, but I added one star from my last review only because they have a descent selection of whiskey.
As a small business owner myself, I prefer to support local, family owned businesses as well. Shellman's has great selection and customer service. Can't wait until they open the second store in Lantana.
