We booked this hotel on the way up to Nashville through a third-party deal website. Upon arrival, our room was ready for us. We were not told that there were no parking options besides valet for $60 a night. The hotel charges you $1 each time you call and request something from the front desk like more coffee or extra towels, which I found to be ridiculous. So, we sent the kids down to retrieve needed items. The room had a/c issues, and maintenance did come and try to fix the problem, but the room stayed warm during the day. We requested a box fan, which seemed to help just a little. The lobby area was very nice, and the glass elevators certainly look neat. The rooms were pretty standard and clean but dated. We had to request a fridge. The Library Restaurant and Bar downstairs was reasonable, and the coffee was really good, which was good since the one in the room was nasty. We were under the impression that there was a complimentary shuttle service to Broadway, but when we called to use it, the service was unavailable 3pm Saturday due to the driver calling out or something like that. At checkout, the resort fees were waived since I complained of the hot room and valet being unavailable after shopping in the heat. The staff were always friendly and professional. The location near Broadway makes this hotel a good option, but I would book somewhere else next time I'm in town.
I stayed at the Sheraton Grand in Nashville while on business travel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and updated, except for the carpet. I’d recommend replacing the carpet with luxury vinyl plank or something similar. Carpet gets dirty or stained, see photos. The hotel is wheel chair accessible. One big disappointment was that the elevator in the garage was “out”. See photos. While they have an employee on a golf cart to assist guests to their car, sometimes you have to wait for the golf cart. This should be a priority to get the elevator fixed. One another note, I like that the rooms have real drinking glasses :. I would stay there again, since I had a good night sleep and enjoyed my stay. There is a ramp leading to the cafe in the lobby for wheel chair access. I would have given the hotel 5 stars if the carpet was in better shape and if the parking garage elevator would have worked. Rooms: Nice rooms, at least the one I had was updated except for the carpet. Walkability: Walkable to Broadway street or they have a golf cart that takes guests to Broadway/5th from 2pm - midnight daily. This is a nice perk!
I truly enjoyed my stay here! My room was spacious and had a nice view. The bed was super comfy! The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Broadway and tons of places to eat. They also offer a golf cart service that will take you one block away from Broadway that ran from 2 PM to midnight, which was great! The room didn’t have a mini fridge, but I asked the front desk and they had one brought up to my room. Also, if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, you can get a mobile room key in the app, which is great if you’re like me and always loose your room key. Although, for the price of the hotel, I felt I should not have been able to hear my neighbors conversations and almost everything going on outside.
Posted price was good for the area, or so it seemed. We were surprised by the parking charge. One night stay is $50 or $10 more for valet. Valet did great. But most upsetting was the $17 charge, which covered the 'complimentary' water, coffee and exercise room. Usage didn't matter. A note in the room said the water was complimentary, which it clearly isn't if I have to pay for it besides being included in the price . At least we did use the coffee. So about $6 for each drink item. A golf cart to bring you back from parking, and another available to bring you closer to the bars exist, but needed to be recharged, so these weren't available. This was early Friday evening, which would seem to be before things get busy. No issue with the staff, they did fine. Hotel bar staff also performed well. Room was good, and we didn't hear noise from neighbors. Elevators always showed up quickly.
This place is nice to go to if u are without children and here for a short stay. Rooms need updated horribly. No microwave or fridge so don’t bring a baby who needs fresh bottles of milk warmed. Carpet was very old and at one point probably beautiful. No room service or any service to come to your room to assist. The market is great if you need a bottle of soda or drink. Honestly very few choices to use the term market. The food at the bar was average. Another big issue was the use of a golf cart to transport people and there luggage up 7+ floors. Which wasn’t available for many hours of the day . It’s a shame that a place with such potential and likelihood at one point to have been one of the best in the area hasn’t been kept up to date nor receiving necessary repairs for guest satisfaction.
Hotel is dated and needs updates. Room was missing fridge and basic furniture. Carpet was grimy and needs to be replaced. There is weird smells in the hallways. Not sure what the $17 amenity is for but doesn’t seem worth it. Garage parking elevator was closed but still charged $50/day? Not staying here again. The gym is the only redeeming quality of this hotel.
Place needs a refresh! Should be charging budget rates. No fridge in the room and the carpet is coming apart, has stains and generally looks like what you would expect in a budget hotel. The 2:30 fire alarm and evacuation did not bother me at first, but there was 0 communication from the staff. Guests were left to wander on the street and started filing in as soon as the fire truck left with no all clear given by the staff. Most selected to climb the 5-20+ flights of stairs because the power was out for several hours. Again 0 communication that it was even safe to go back in. There are much better choices in the area!
Hotel & location great, but price questionable. Reserved room for one price and after staying there with parking and other fees they tacked on another $75. Elevator in parking was broke. Had to walk 4 levels to get to the entrance to hotel, they had a golf cart zipping around but never stopped to assist, but at check out we did get to ride golf cart wouldn’t recommend about got thrown out several times because of careless driving. Overall service didn’t seem to care or give any credit for the inconvenience. Nearby activities: Downtown
