I got a good experience here. I checked in at 9pm for a 9am appointment unload. They do have over night parking and security guard check in was nice. Got a call at 5:40am with for a dock and got my paperwork ready call at 7:40. Fast and easy. Only thing lots of huge pot holes.
It's absolutely wonderful that this place offers you overnight parking but the parking lot off to the right side of the guard shack, where we are supposed to park is getting absolutely horrible. I've been coming here for years and the holes in the lot are getting dangerously bad... It's to the point where you are going to get stuck and or hurt your truck or trailer. It's already claimed the lives of several mudflaps as you can see in the photos. They do not maintain the side lot where we park. I dread seeing this place in the winter if they don't do some repairs to the lot. I got stuck last year and had to get a tow truck to come out and pull me a few feet to better ground. I couldn't get traction at all and we don't carry chains.
I’ll start this review with this, my experience with checking in at the Guard shack was an unpleasant one I felt she could have had a better attitude toward people because her attitude toward me was very unpleasant and I think that was very unprofessional of her what her problem is I don’t know we’ll let God deal with that. As far as getting my load unloaded and wait time the Lumper fee it was OK even the lady in the check-in office was very informative and professional. Also be careful parking in the overnight parking area it’s full of potholes and hazards.
This place is good to deliver but the security lady is having too much attitude and going to spoil your mood. Otherwise they have overnight parking and you will receive a call in the morning and get dock. Lumper fee is by cheque or cash. That black security lady is shouting on driver’s and disconnecting the call without listening to other person.
One of the most dreadful places to come to. The security hub is rank with stank attitudes. I refuse to believe it’s a culture bred and to be expected by Detroit Natives. My review is solely focused on my engagement with the ladies in the security hub my load was late due to the previous receiver resulting in my appointment getting cancelled had to stick around over the weekend. not to mention security did not tell me that I was able to stay on property so ultimately I ended up driving 30 minutes away to a pilot OK cool I return back on Monday After being advised that they don’t do same day scheduling so I had to stay until the next day that wasn’t a problem it was the communication and the demeanor of the ladies in the security hub not sure why the attitude when there was no reason but Ladies we have to do better!!! Hopefully the next time I’ll have a better experience The parking lot is full of potholes and debris beware and be careful! Again just to note there is over night parking there is a rest room aside the security hub and they want you to cut your seal and open your doors
Very very slow. Very very bad parking lot. Specially when rain. To come this facility follow google not gps. They have overnight parking .I had appointment 8am. Checked in night before. Now 10 am still no door. Think twice if you bringing load for this facility now the time is 12:30 still waiting. First and last load for this facility
If the government is so into pollution, then do something for these companies that really don’t care, dozens of trucks loosing their loads, idling for hours and hours waiting to be unloaded after their appointment time, management IS responsible, tired of blaming the guys that unload, they don’t make a fair living… I have 4 pallets to unload, 4 hours after and I still don’t have a dock, 2 more drops to do today… and 2.5 hours to drive hoping I’m not going to loose my load to get home for thanksgiving morning with my Family while I still have one… Truck driver is a career I don’t have to do it… so is being a cop, or teacher or any other job, but at the end someone has to do it, we just need regulations into these companies not so much the trucking industry, Sherwood you are dirty, and your history shows it !!
First time here, not sure why all bad reviews, arrived night before at 2100 for 0900 appt checked in with guard who was polite enough, got a call next morning at 0630 with door and reasonable lumper fee,waited till 0700for the in-house truck to exit door no big deal, docked and was unloaded green light by 0845 wait for call to office to pay lumper and had BOL in hand 0930, has restrooms, large area for overnight parking many of the potholes have been filled with gravel, guess it's an effort anyway tons of room to maneuver in front of docks,I was able to straight back as many others did. seemed pretty standard for reefer, grocery warehouse. Any place with ON parking and security is 5 star for me especially in a bigger city like Detroit. Overall pretty good would definitely return
If you come on 96 and gps tells you to turn on Hayden st don’t. Keep going to evergreen a you will see it on right if coming east sharp right at bottom of bridge. Overnight parking available
Overnight parking is available but if you come earlier no body take your load until your appointment time so you know and also very slow Campany it takes too long
