In 2013, Sherwood Middle School became part of the iZone Network of Shelby County Schools, under the leadership of Principal Corey Kelly. As part of the iZone, Sherwood Middle School students receive benefits such as student laptops with blended learning programs, an extra hour of daily instruction, and rigorous, data-driven instruction in each of their content classes.

Sherwood Middle School students are empowered, self-motivated learners who are supported by the faculty, their families, community members and their peers. The faculty and staff are committed to providing a safe, developmentally-appropriate learning environment in which students are successful academically, emotionally, socially, and physically.
