No one greeted me at the store. I asked to see a piece of jewelry, and then later asked to purchase it. They didn't have any more in stock at the store, and asked if I wanted to order it. Because I intended it for a gift that I needed that day, I asked if I could purchase the display, at a discount. The associate went to the manager, who in a loud voice said how no, of course they couldn't do that and made it sound like an idiotic request. I didn't get the option to buy the display, even at full price. I said, I'll just order it online myself, and they said "but you get free 2-day shipping" when you order in-store. BTW, you get 2 free-day shipping when you order online. So yeah. Love the brand but terrible shopping experience,
really like that brand and its story behind. interesting to see how they entered other markets than watches e.g., bikes, leather, etc.. however, would like to see more mechanical watches even with ETA or Sellita movements. and, yes, staff at their BOS store was really friendly and helpful:-
I’ve bought two watches and a belt from the prudential store both times the experience was great. I had the same sales women both times and left very pleased with the experience. She went as far as to let me see how her watch size looked on me was comparing sizes. Highly recommend!
Tom and Anais were fantastic to work with. We arrived needing to adjust two watches purchased from the Detroit store and get a new battery on an older watch. Tom and Anais were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and quick. We ended up walking out with our newly adjusted watches, bought another watch, purchased a purse and a personalized embossed notebook.
I went into this store and bought myself a watch, I could not resist. Very pretty models. I liked the service, the guys understand the quality and capabilities of the models and can give you good advice.
Nice store, really cool merchandise, great that it is made in the USA, the staff were very friendly and responsive when I went in, but it is on the pricier side. The only problem with a pricey new brand is that I wouldn't hesitate to drop a lot on an Omega watch, but with a new product like Shinola it makes it hard just to drop a few hundred to a couple grand on something without on proven track record.
Received a Shinola watch for Christmas with a leather strap, which I had been admiring for some time. In February, the metal piece holding the strap broke. It was replaced but at this price point, pretty disappointed. At the end of August my battery died 8 months, really?. I need to send the watch in to have the battery replaced. Again, at the price point, totally unacceptable. I am really disappointed in the overall quality of the product.
really bad customer service. Drove 2 hours to get to the store only to be very disappointed. Salesman tried to sell me a floor model! Not sure about the training, but when selling 500+ dollar watches NO ONE wants the floor model. This is a very bad policy.i even told him it was a gift.
Nice layout. Love the Brand / Product. Didn't ask for help, but did noticed associates were helpful with other customers. It was cool seeing the turntable playing.
Shinola Boston Store was great! I bought a Boston Shirt which I love and I was quite happy!!
