Shinpu-Ren is an Okinawan hard style karate. What sets it apart from traditional hard styles is that it incorporates aspects of its curricula from many other arts such as the high kicking and aerial combat techniques of the Korean arts. etc.
Shinpu-Ren Family Karate opened its doors in 1998 under the instruction of (Sensei) Kyoshi Gary Morris, sanctioned by Hanshi Vance Steele and Hanshi John Kraemer. Since then, the school, has gained National recognition as a school for high quality Martial Arts training.
Our mission is to better serve the surrounding quad-city area with outstanding martial arts quality, educate families in areas of Self Defense, Martial Arts, Sport Competition Experience and Philanthropy as well as further our insights and evolve our art to our fullest potential. To develop a thriving member community, quicken the public's sense of civic duty and transmit this style, not only not less, but greater and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.
