We aren't fancy folks, but we wanted good quality furniture that would last. We also wanted to design our living room around a rug we already had. Candis McDuffie was not just a salesperson. She was an interior designer who listened to our needs and worked hard to find us the right furniture for our project. We enjoyed working with her and love the final result!
We are huge fans of this Ethan Allen store and their great design consultant Tanya Lytle. We have been working with her for almost 20 years and she has always steered us in the right direction for furnishing both our FL and NC homes. Recently our sofa cushions had begun to wear down. She let us know they have a wonderful upholster who could restructure the interior of the cushions and make them like new again. We are at home now sitting on our new cushions and she was correct!! They feel and look brand new. Excellent bottom support. We can not recommend them highly enough.
Our recent buying experience with Ethan Allen in Asheville was exceptional. My design associate, Charlotte, was fantastic. She spent a great deal of time with me and the end result exceeded my expectations. All with whom I dealt with were also exceptional and I recommend them without hesitation. Pam Devorkin
We bought a mid-century style sofa and ottoman from Laura D. and couldn’t be happier with the purchase or the experience. Laura used her design expertise to guide us in the exact direction we wanted to go and offered tips and hints to tastefully enhance our living room. We will absolutely be buying from Laura and Ethan Allen again soon!
I had such a great experience from beginning to end. Candis McDuffie came out to my house, made a fabulous plan—using my furniture and theirs—and then helped me make all the little decisions to pull together a couple challenging rooms. Yes, EA is not inexpensive—but stellar designer, quality products, and easy install make it very worth it.
Had and having great time working with Candis M. to decorate our new house in Asheville. She is organized and very detailed. She listens to what you want while at the same time recognizing your style/preferences. Would highly recommend her and will continue to use her for our decoration needs!

I will never buy from this company again. They delivered seconds at first quality price and although I have no proof I believe when they replaced the seconds, they just recovered the floor model the undercarriage is dusty and worn. I have given them two weeks to return my call and they have not, I'm free to say what I want. The attitude is simple, how dare we question them. We spent about seven grand for a couch and a chair and some over priced fabric their fabric cost less than $20.00/ yard probably less than $10.00 / yardand they charge $56.00/ yard. We were also told our furniture is made in the United States of America; the product tag says made in Mexico. Who is telling a lie? We will probably tolerate this furniture for a year or two and then trash it, assuming it holds up that long. I liked what I sat on in the store, not what we received. They did comment that the floor model was five years old and was worn in; i will not give this five years to wear in.
I didn't go in expecting to find anything, but thankfully Laura D. helped me! Her eye for color & details helped me make the mid-century living room I wanted, being both really comfortable and beautiful.
Great salespeople to help but aren't pushy. Clean store.
