Shogun Japanese/Chinese Bistro

After a long day of cleaning out someone's house, this was a surprise treat that I wasn't expecting but I definitely needed. When I arrived, I questioned one of the waitress on the most popular sushi so I could avoid making any bad decisions. The Red Wing and The Cosmos were excellent choices and recommend them if you like your sushi with a kick of heat. The food I ordered the Shogun which had chicken, shrimp, and sirloin was amazing. You really can't go wrong with an hibachi restaurant. I'm not much of a drinker so I can't advise there but overall, money well spent. I will definitely be returning.

Try the Chinese food!!! We're regulars at Shogun, but we sit on the Chinese side for Chinese food. The food is usually A-1 most of the time and we enjoy our service during the less busier times. Busy times seem a little chaotic and it seems hard to get a hold of the waiter. I do have one question though, does soup come with the dinner combos? We often get the dinner combo and sometimes it comes with soups and other times it's an extra charge, kind of frustrating! Overall we enjoy this spot! Attached a few pics of dishes.

The show was very good as usual. The food was tasty. I have been to the Shogun on Hall Road and I think it is a little bit better than this one. I asked for extra vegetables instead of rice. It didn't look like I had twice the amount of vegetables.

Update I've been here plenty times at this point and the food is not as good and has consistently been too oily for my taste. I had been very curious about this restaurant for years. I have always driven by it but never found the time to step inside and see what it was about. This was my 1st time at a hibachi type restaurant and I was eager to see if it would live up to the hype. It was a great experience for the most part and the food being cooked in front of you was also a benefit. The staff sat our party almost immediately and we were given our drinks and ordered our food relatively quickly. There was quite a time before the actual food arrived to be cooked in front of us though and I do mean it was awhile. Our chef got to work almost immediately and he did mess up a few orders but it was only on a few vegetables. The chef corrected the orders and kept a mental note of people's allergies to peanuts and seafood. The plates here are around an average of $25 and so it can get pricey if you have quite a few people as you can see from the pics. That bill was for 4 entrees and 2 appetizers. This is a definite must visit if you're in the area and wanted some Japanese/Chinese food.

I would give this place negative stars This place is trash… from the people that work their to the food. I ordered the “shogun special” and the chicken had a nice sized piece of metal. I took my food back to get a refund and the manager didn’t seem concerned AT ALL.. No apologies no nothing. I will NEVER step foot in this place ever again..

Just had dinner here with my parents and the sushi and service was excellent! Our waitress was very attentive and awesome experience overall! Yes, gratuity is already added to your bill even if you're not seated at the grill but it's posted before you're seated so there's no surprises. I always tip more than what's included so that didn't bother me.

Took the family out on a Saturday and didn't have to wait at all, which was nice. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Food was good but one of the sushi rolls we ordered only came with a few pieces. The only amusing part of dinner was when the chef squirted everyone with the water bottle. Too pricey for us.

The food is horrible to be honest the waitress was not good the food was not seasoned the garlic butter is just melted down butter with garlic powder I would NOT recommend this place unless you have not taste buds!!!!! also I order sushi and I never it the raw sushi and I had to send it back it also taste like I was eating day old rice for the sushi and the hibachi they wouldn’t take it off my bill at all the discounted it and Alain the drinks are over filled with ice so by time you get them they are very watered down this place was not it….. also it was very expansive very very expensive with low quality of food my 6 year old can cook better this… Also that 18% service charge is a rip off for sure DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GOING HERE

Food is good and at a reasonable price for everything you get with the meal. Soup and salad is included and only the very largest eaters will not go home with a left over box with enough food for tomorrows meal. An added plus, kids love watching the grill master cook in front of them.Food: 4/5

Restaurant was clean and friendly. Food was very good. The waitress was also very nice and knowledgeable. I have never really had a personable chef. Like they go through the motions and that’s it. I feel like that place is supposed to be a dinner and somewhat a show. But chef was just going through the moves.Recommended dishesOnion or Miso Soup, Japanese Fried Rice
