The staff are exceptionally friendly and easy to get along with. Similarly, the store is always very well kept and pleasing to look at. Although their in store inventory is quite limited, they do carry a large selection of items from multiple brands. Prices are quite fair, and it helps that they retain the original JPY price tags so you can be certain that you're paying the correct amount.
This is a lovely shop that sells Lolita Brands from Japan. Their collections are adorable and the customer service is excellent. It's a great place to shop/browse and I imagine that working there is probably lots of fun, too.
Staff are confrontational and rude when even mentioning anything related to the controversies they’ve caused. It’s shelves with second hand brand items that are overpriced, and the store feels less like a love letter to japanese fashion for those in Houston, and more like a pop up advertising tent for a convention that’s overstayed it’s welcome. I’ve been here 3 times, but third time was the last. I walked in with my friend who had little to no knowledge of the issues surrounding this store. Mainly the owners and the recently revived topic in May 2016 Lovely Lor posted a video with footage of the store. Late 2017, when I visited with my friend, She politely asked the store clerk if she could take photos of the interior. The store clerk replied rudely, “That’s fine so long as you don’t do what that lovely lor girl did.” Taken aback, my friend asked me for context and I explained. The store associate, Wearing a black polo style Anime Matsuri Staff shirt, became physically agitated and almost offended. It was clear to me that I hit a nerve over a informational video that was posted a year ago, so we quickly left. TLDR: Shop clerk gets triggered When controversy was mentioned. Don’t come here.
I love this shop so much! They buy Lolita brands directly from Japan so they are genuine. Staff is awesome and I love that they are selling anime goods now!
This place is owned by a predator and his wife. Deneice Leigh and her staff/company bodyshame and manipulate impressionable young girls/women into their digusting standards. On numerous occasions have I witnessed body shaming from Deniece and her manager Daniela at their events. Please do not shop here, there are plenty of wonderful places to buy Lolita including the real online stores that sell the brands showcased in the store.
Adding to my previous review I've seen with my own eyes and had a previous staff member CONFIRM that they Use/wear Merchandise and Accessories and then wash them, re-tag them, and sell them for full "unused" price. Disgusting. Not worth your money AT ALL.
Unique, playful clothing to make you look like a living doll! Lolita attire for males and females. Very fun store that also holds special events.
Called at 3:26 on 12/20/17 spoke with Denise asking about numerous products and she helped alot said I was about 30 minutes and I'd be there. She stated the 4 o'clock employee may be late so they would be temporary closed I said that's fine . Took my time getting there with this in mind giving the employee time to come in. Arrived and there was a sign that said the store closed at 3:30 today and would reopen tomorrow. No notice on FB page about early close ...guess I am going to spend 400$ on closet child instead.
A beautiful store, excellent staff and brand named Lolita in Houston! What more can you ask for? You can also try on all of the Lolita outfits to check for sizing.
Didn't really sell lolita clothes just a whole lot of anime merch
