The parking lot was full but luckily somebody pulled out right in front of me, and this was on a weekday afternoon. The store is huge so I was able to find everything I needed in one place. I love the bakery and it smells so good! The attached liquor store, "Wines & Spirits" is super convenient. Overall I have had good shopping experiences here.
I will start by saying this Shopright is so bad I miss Fairway, and I can't wait to see how this store competes against Amazon fresh when they open. Unfortunately, this ShopRite is the closest grocery store to me, and I have never had a good thing to say about it. The produce is never the freshest. The last time I came, they had no lettuce, they almost never have gold potatoes other than a 5 lb bag, and today, they were just totally out of garlic. If you come during the week expect the shelves to be almost cleared because they are incapable of stocking common items. I am currently waiting on the cold cuts line which is always completely full, and the staff is slow, slow enough for me to write this short novel of a review. Expect to wait at least 20 min and don't get anything frozen before trying, or it will be thawed by the time you get home ask me how I know. Bottom line, I can't wait to pay more elsewhere just so I don't have to deal with this food store.
Greeted well by the friendly security at the entrance. They were helpful to help me and guide me to the restroom. The location is right off the highway and the store is big. I liked that the fish department offers to dry the seafood you purchased. The store is well kept and an extremely busy one.
You need to see Alyssa the floral manager for your next corsage or boutonnière order. They were stunning and cost effective. She was so helpful and the flowers were so fresh. ORDER ONE FOR YOUR WIFE OR MOM FOR CHRISTMAS
This is the nest Shoprite of them all. It has the largest selection of any supermarket in NJ. You can also find a halal section in the freezer isle. The baking department is top notch. Seafood department is also one of freshest I have seen around.
I love this neighborhood ShopRite. It has everything I want for a lower price. The workers are nice. I love hearing that guy's voice from the speaker. “ 5 candies for $1, only from your neighborhood ShopRite.” Love it!
Haven't been in this shop rite in a while, and it looks totally different, the renovation has brought it to a much open and brighter feel. Most aisles are not that lenghty, which makes for a quick navigation, and all departments are well stocked, the bakery section has a great selection of fresh baked loaves. The deli and prepared foods offer a wide selection, and this is the first shop rite that I've seen, where liquor is sold at end caps within the store and not in a separate location. As nice as the new milford store.
This is one of the best NJ stores: tons of great fruit & vegetables; the bakery items are fantastic with a huge selection, including fresh breads; meats are highest quality; and the best prices compared to all other supermarkets. Super clean, too. Just be ready for a bit of a crowd, and be patient with where you have to park!
I was in the neighborhood doing some Holiday shopping a few days before Christmas. I shopped at a couple stores including the dollar zone and decided to walk to Shoprite. In Shoprite I picked up a few items and checked them out. The cashier asked for my bag I told her I could pack the items for myself. She insisted to take my bag to put the items in it. I didn't understand what was happening when she started rummaging through my bag. She then took out a box of garbage bags and was going to scan it I said no I purchased it in the dollar store and tried to explain, she said "RELAX" I'm doing my job. I passed through security no one stopped me. If asked I would have complied because that's where I would expect them to search bags. This is something new that happened to me it was a cashier this time that was going through my bag sneakily and without my permission. I was very humiliated the fact that she made me look like the bad person trying to explain to her and she telling me to relax hurt me more. I am a black person when people are telling me to relax when I'm trying to explain myself is very insulting. Means you are saying its not a big deal for me to feel humiliated or talk in my defense. I spoke to her manager he apologized but I called him back a week after he said he was going to look into what happened that day. He already had forgotten the incident so I repeated it, his response was, empty your bag when you coming to the store because I'm a business you never know in this day and age meaning you never who will steal. When someone is honest should they be responsible for people who come in his and steal?. I was very hurt because no one care to resolve the fact that I was humiliated. No one cared that I paid for my items and this woman violated my privacy by exposing me and humiliating me before other customers. When I spoke to the first manager he said it is not the cashier job to search my bag. I spoke to another manager he said 90% of people who shop in Shoprite don't have bags with them and the cashier could search my bag. I am appalled and still shaken up. I am a very honest person that was spending my hard earned money for an honest bread. What Shoprite did was humiliated me and did nothing to protect customers like me who are honest but may not have a car and have to take the bus or anyone who live close by and decide to walk and shop at more than one store with the same bag .
Awful management. Manager Vincenza is rude and loud. Definently a family hire oh Marone a mi. Her teenage staff apologized to me for her behavior how about making one of them manager. If you need help or have questions avoid Vincenza she will turn your grocery shopping experience into a big haired Jersey attitude nightmare.
