Shore's Men's Wear was opened in October, 1946, by Ralph and Helen Shore. Ralph had returned home after serving as a pilot during WWII earning a silver star for his outstanding service. After working for Rutlands in Orlando, FL, he decided to open his own men's clothing store in Kissimmee with his new bride Helen. His son-in-law, George Cross joined him in the 70's until his death in 1984. George carried on the family business until his recent passing. They were both loved for their warm, fun-loving and generous natures. Elizabeth Odom has been a faithful and valuable employee for over 45 years and has helped the business through difficult transitions. Today, the family business continues with another son-in-law, Gary Farmer. This October Shore's Men's Wear will celebrate their 70th year of helping the men in central Florida look good for all the special occasions of their lives.
