Saw some rather peculiar shorebirds while there, almost looked like pigeons. A rather spartan park in terms of just about everything, but there's a small beach/cove you can walk around on. Couple of sculptures and a platform that goes slightly beyond the shoreline. Mind that you don't lean on the railing though, the birds have "marked" it as their territory. There's litter all around but what beach doesn't have some sort of litter nowadays? Some of it has weathered into sea glass though, if you're into collecting that. Maybe clean up some litter while you're at it. There's some free 2 hour parking spots along the side of the road by this park, but be wary of road traffic when exiting your vehicle.
Great trail for bike riding or a long walk the views of the bay are a bonus
It was clear, doggies & their humans everywhere, views of container cranes in Oakland, view of San Francisco Financial District's Building, and The Golden Gate Bridge.
An East Bay hidden gem!
Small but beautiful park, always windy, always fresh, always cold.
Homeless have staked a claim but great place for hunting Bait. Also found 8ft+ sturgeon carcass in November from Red Tide. Wonder if they frequent the area.....
A small little park very artistic good for meditation and quiet time
nice view of the bay, but if you turn your head the other way you get a mouthful of highway
The location is nice to take a short walk to the edge of shore. The little beach atmosphere is pretty neat. Most important is location to do some fishing if you enjoy catching bay Ray's, leopard shark, striper, and rock fish!
Tide was in so couldn't explore. However, it was good, semi-clean and maintained. Not idea for kids due to all the rocks and potential safety issues from falling.
