The Shoreline Police Department is comprised of an administration department headed by Police Chief Shawn Ledford. The department has dedicated Patrol Operations, a skilled Burglary/Larceny Unit, a Special Emphasis Team (street crime detectives), special support services, and traffic patrol. The SPD also operates several community outreach programs with a dedicated Community Outreach and Problem Solving Officer, Steve Perry, who works out of City Hall. We also have a full-time Community Officer, Dahlia Corona, who speaks fluent Spanish.
Although services are contracted through the King County Sheriff's Office, the officers are dedicated to Shoreline, wearing Shoreline uniforms and driving Shoreline patrol cars.
A reminder that crime data and information can be found at www.CrimeReports.com by going to their site and searching using an address or a zip code. Maps with crime stats and locations along with registered sex offenders can be found there.
