A complete surprise in the canyon. We stayed in Twin Falls, ID we were talking to some locals about how nice the town was and they made the suggestion to go see the twin falls at Shoshone Falls Park. The next morning before we left town we went and we were so glad that we did! This is a beautiful place and if you're in the area, I highly recommend to visit. It was a five dollar per car entry fee, to drive into the canyon to go to the park, viewing area and lake entry and they have a pool there as well. We had Jolie Fleur so I could walk her in the beautiful green grass with many trees for shade. There were tables for families. Parking was good but with the amount of people coming into park, they could use more spots. The viewing areas were very well done. We were both amazed with the cleanliness of the park. Note, the drive into the canyon is narrow & winding so be prepared, but it is doable. What I have learned, take time to see the local beauty as you pass through a town or area. You'll be richer for it. Restrooms: I did not use the restrooms but it looked like they had port-a-pots. Dog-friendliness: Large grassy area, many people had their dogs! Picnic area: Beautiful area with grass, with plenty if trees for shade!
This park was so nice! So much shade, a nice little stream, some benches, and it's so big! There is a restroom and souvenirs and dogs are allowed on leash. There are walking paths and bike paths! So much fun! And the falls are gorgeous!!!
This is a beautiful park with spectacular views. The little walk-up gift shop was unique because everything is behind the counter and they bring out things for you to see close up. The restrooms have flush toilets though the facilities are dated. The grounds are beautifully kept. There is a lot of shade in the tree-area. It's well worth a visit when the falls have a good flow year. Restrooms: The restrooms are located behind the gift shop and are adequate but old. They have flush toilets. The women's restroom had two or three stalls, one of which was larger stall. The smaller stalls were pretty small.
Really neat place! We have come here on long trips over 4 times. It's fun to see it flowing differently each time. It makes lots of mist and just looks amazing! You can walk around and get a couple of different views. They have nice grass areas. Family friendly. Pet friendly. Great place for picnics and awesome views! I wish the t-shirts were just a little less expensive but that's pretty normal. The entrance fee isn't terrible. It was pretty busy but we can spread out if we want.
I really like going to Shoshone Falls. There is just enough parking to keep people moving through the park and guides to direct you to whichever area has openings. People visiting have been courteous and only stand at the rails and lookouts long enough to take in the beauty and snap a few pictures. Restroom are available and were clean and there is a snack shop for munchies. Definitely worth the trip when the falls are flowing well.
Beautiful grounds with trails and plenty of things to do. There are trails , beautiful waterfalls and trees surrounding the area for picnics, etc.. decent restrooms and a small place with snacks. Dog friendly and more #BeeHippyLifestyle
Beautiful, walkable park with multiple waterfalls resulting from the dam. Can be crowded at times as it’s a popular spot. We got free admission because I am handicapped and have a handicapped parking placard which was a surprising perk! Dog friendly and lots of spots to sit or lean and take a break. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs present and exploring the area with no apparent issues. Just be smart and courteous of others with your dog and all is good - we didn’t have any problems other than our dogs wanting to sniff EVERYWHERE!
The falls are stunning! Beautiful long falls that are really fun to just sit and watch. Lots of birds flying in and around them as well makes it like something from a movie. You can hike to other amazing views of the falls as well and they provide you with a lot of history information to read. Great grounds for picnics as well. They have pull through spots for RVs and trailers and quite a few parking spaces for normal vehicles as well. The grounds are really well maintained and cleaned and lots of bathrooms.
Just a really beautiful park with easy access to view the falls! Don’t worry about hiking, the parking lot is right next to the viewing areas! We came in late June 2023 and the falls were looking amazing!
Breathtaking. Amazing. Awe inspiring. Even though it was overcast, the sight to behold in front of you is one for the books. Well kept walking trail and observation decks can be found to easily view the falls.
