Mental and Physical Health, True Self-Defense, The Highest Standards in Traditional Karatedo (ages 8 and up)
Karate-do is not merely an exercise, a sport of points or a flashy showing of agility. It is a martial art and way of life, training the practitioner to be calm and focused in both mind and body for any situation that arises. In our training we strive to hone not only our physical ability for self-defense, but also our mind and emotions so that in daily life and extreme situations alike we may respond with the proper concise reaction. We practice traditional Shotokan as passed down to us by internationally recognized karate instructor and ITKF founder Master Hidetaka Nishiyama (a direct student of Shotokan’s founder Master Gichin Funakoshi) and his student Sensei Bradd Webb (5th dan).
