Shreveport Bar Association

About

The Shreveport Bar Association (SBA) is a thriving, dynamic, professional organization that welcomes attorneys in all areas of the Law. We are dedicated to serving our members, and the community at large.

Mission

The Shreveport Bar Association is a voluntary community-oriented Bar Association with over 600 members. It was formed in the early 1950s to promote interests in the legal field, dignity and character of the Bar of the City of Shreveport and Bossier.

Our purpose hasn't changed in the past 60+ years. We are committed to providing an organization where members of our legal community can serve the public under the highest ethical and professional expectations. In addition, our goal is to provide a variety of activities so each member has an opportunity to become involved civically, socially and through ongoing education.

The SBA is not a state agency. The organization's activities are funded through membership dues and other self generated revenue.

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND BAR ASSOCIATION STAFF:
The affairs of the association are managed by the Executive Council who are elected by the membership. The Executive Council is made up of the President, the President-elect, the Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, the immediate Past-President, the Chairman of the Judicial Liaison Committee, the President of the Young Lawyer's Section, the President of the Women's Section, the Captain of the Krewe of Justinian, and four Members At-Large.

These people will lie and state that they will help you then use a third party and tell you less than 24 hours before your hearing that they can’t. Complete time wasters and no help at all for DV survivors. If your case is ‘too complex’ for them, they will not help. Complete and the ‘attorney’ won’t talk to you. She’ll use a third party to communicate something for her then ignore your message and calls.
