The Society for Human Resource Management at Nicholls State University (SHRM@NSU) is a student chapter member of the Society for Human Resource Management and is associated with the Bayou SHRM.
SHRM@NSU has regular meetings, usually every other week, with scheduled programs designed to help members learn more about HR and the real world of business and to network with one another and with HR professionals.
These activities allow members to learn more about human resource management while building relationships with local professionals and other students and of course, having fun!

ACTIVITIES
SHRM@NSU usually meets every other week and food is served. The meeting day and time change each semester to best fit members’ schedules.
Every spring SHRM@NSU hosts an etiquette dinner to offer the Nicholls community a fun and entertaining opportunity to learn dining etiquette.
Every fall SHRM@NSU hosts HR Jeopardy for the Bayou Society for Human Resource Management, giving student members an opportunity to network with human resource professionals while they brush up on their HR knowledge.
We decide on other activities based on student interest.
SHRM promotes mutually beneficial interaction between students and practitioners. Membership offers students the opportunity to supplement their classroom education with real-world knowledge and hands-on experience.
