We believe that all students can learn to communciate effectively, become responsible citizens and academic achievers, nurture positive relationships, problem-solve, and become lifelong, self-directed learners; that we must provide and safe and supportive environment and that the involvement of parents and community is crucial to the success of the students of Sierra High.
During the 2012-13 school year, Sierra High School will begin implementing Professional Learning Communities for all teachers. Teachers will collaborate in curricular teams on Wednesday mornings (Late Start Wednedays) focusing on student learning and interventions. We believe that PLC's will improve student achievement and better prepare our kids for the 21st century.
