Social Fraternity
Zeta Phi and Alpha Pi Local History
The Zeta Phi chapter of Sigma Nu has always been a leader at Bradley University and on the national level. It was one of the first organized fraternities on the campus. The fraternity started out as a local fraternity and took the name “Alpha Pi” shortly after the opening of Bradley around 1897. Organized as one of the very first fraternities, the early Alpha Pi’s were some of first matriculates at what was originally called Bradley Polytechnic Institute.
