My husband and I went with a friend here for dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was excellent. I ordered the salmon over a house salad and both were fresh and delicious. My husband got the chicken Alfredo, which was unique because it had olives in it - a nice touch. Decent wines, not top shelf but decent. Excellent cocktails. Highly recommend!
the wings here were GREAT! I wish I would have put my review up earlier because I can't remember all the particulars now...which means another trip in my future! They also have tots, which is a must too!Food: 5/5
I thought this was going to be a great experience. I wanted it to be a great experience. Got in the server did come over to take my drink order. She was doing a really job making the drinks but wasn't as attentive to our table. I think she was managing the bar area as well as the dining area. We ordered crab croquettes and they came out immediately but they were not hot and we were trying to understand how they came out so quick but wasn't hot, we were able to get fresh hot ones and they were good. I ordered chicken and waffles and another friend ordered the same thing. It came out the food wasn't hot again so we sent it back and they brought it out a second time but it still wasn't hot so my friend got something completely different and I decided to forgo more food because of the disappointment. I ordered another mimosas she did that very well. They didn't put any of the food on the check which was good. I'm not sure if it was the chefs first day or if it was because there was an event taking place that day. Either way it was not a great experience.
I had a birthday party here for my mom. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. They allowed us to decorate the room and gave us plenty of time for set up and clean up. I can't wait to come back for Sunday brunch.
As residents of Bulle Rock, we frequented this restaurant 1-2 nights per week up until about a year ago when it went under new management. Since then, it has gone down hill. The menu has changed, prices went up significantly and the service leaves much to be desired they turned over almost all of their staff when the new manager took over. The happy hour specials used to be wonderful. They only offer drinks on happy hour now, and food specials 2 nights a week. The menu was full of options from specialty pizzas to tacos; they took a lot off the menu, and the options are disappointing in comparison. They changed over to a different supplier for the burger, and although it isn’t bad, it is not nearly what it used to be. I am saddened by the changes. We will not be frequenting the restaurant often, if at all anymore.
Food is average at best. If I lived in the area, I would not make a special trip to eat here. The views from the restaurant and outside balcony are very nice and everything is nice and clean. Plenty of TV's in the Bar/Restaurant area. Only reason my friend and I ate here was we had just finished playing the course earlier and thought we would give it a try. Wait staff were not very attentive, nor knowledgeable of the restaurant food offerings or desserts available. My friend had to go up to the bar to ask for a refill of his soda. And we received three different answers on what was available for dessert as well. For comparison, the Restaurant at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford PA would get 4 stars all the way across. Bulle Rock Gourmet Pub and Grill is a swing and a miss for us.
Very disappointed overall. Arrived at restaurant at 6:35 and was told kitchen was closing at 7:00 and the restaurant would be closing by 8:00 for a staff meeting. Food was terrible! Mashed potatoes were very dry and cold. Chicken Chesapeake was cold and didn’t taste good at all. I substituted the vegetable with a side salad. I was told it would be an additional $4. When I got the check it was $9. I paid over $40 for a meal that I couldn’t eat. Not a good experience at all!
Great little restaurant hidden in a beautiful golf course. My wife and I come here probably more than we should eating out obviously isn't free but we have no regrets! The drinks are always well made, and we haven't found a food item on the menu we weren't a fan of. My recommendation - start your meal off with the tin cup nachos, they're an experience everyone should have! The pricing is very reasonable as well for what you get.
Should be so much more. You have a huge clientele pool right outside your door and shouldn't be the only reason you are still in business. A few years ago, this place tried to bring it back to life. Sandwiches were big and full of meat, service was top notch. Now, the "chicken" on the Nashville hot sandwich is more bread than chicken. One night it's shredded, the next it's a thinned out patty. It was once a full breast and worth the price. Pizza sometimes has an inch of cheese, next way too much sauce. The kitchen can be ultra slow at times as well. The atmosphere is pretty good and the views are fantastic. The wait staff is almost always great as well It just could be so much more!
Would have loved to try this place out tonight. Made a reservation, and nobody was at the front desk to seat us. Had to ask the bar staff for a seat. Once we got seated, nobody came to serve us. Ultimately, I left and went elsewhere.Service: 1/5
