The Silver Falls Library District was established as a district in 1994. Our library district covers 186 square miles and serves about 19,500 people living in this region. The Silver Falls Library District differs slightly from the boundary lines of the Silver Falls School District. Currently, the library collection contains over 75,800 volumes, with additional access to over a million items from 17 other member libraries in the Chemeketa Cooperation Regional Library Service (CCRLS).
"The mission of the Silver Falls Library District is to provide access to diverse theories, ideas, and opinions in a variety of formats, to support developing readers and lifelong learners, and to offer information, courteous service, and quality programs in a welcoming environment. We have programs for all ages and many interests. We share our collection with 17 libraries in the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service CCRLS organization, allowing thousands of library materials to be circulated throughout the region of Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties. This library offers free wi-fi, charging stations, and internet stations.
