Very cute little park. There is a small playground good for young children, and swings. There is a short wood chip path to walk along, and there are piers in the lake. You can launch kayaks here. There were people fishing. There is an outhouse.
Went ice fishing Dec 28th 2022. Ice depth was 6", fishing not so great, however we did see numerous Northern Pike on our camera. Has a boat launch for summer use and restrooms too.
Nice little lake to get out on and see some nature!! !
Beautiful, very small park, gorgeous wildflowers. The lake is getting over run by algae, no gas motors boats. Wouldn't want to swim, but great for kayaking.
Great place to go if you kayak...many things to see...fish....blue herons....muskrat....eagle....and MANY turtles of various sizes
Nice little local park. There's short trails through the wooded areas. A nice gazebo atop the center of the park. The docks are nice for fishing. No prize winning fish but it's enough to keep a person entertained if they're just looking to get out. The boat ramp is brand new. Getting out in the water is a bit tough for the first fifty yards or so. The vegetation is so thick you can hardly paddle out.
Nice little park with tree/nature education signs. Nice little boat ramp and parking. Also has 3 piers to go fishing on, or to watch sunsets. Also has a gazeebo and a simple playground. There is a bathroom available, but due to Covid... You might want to bring your own t.p. or wipes.or so the sign says
This park is a hidden little gem just west of Manitowoc. The lake used to be pretty polluted; but efforts have been made to remediate this. Now a days the lake is much cleaner. The lake is about 55 acres surrounded by 12 acres of woods and riparian habitat. This is a nice place for fishing and wildlife observation. There seems to always be yellow-rumped warblers in the wooded area. This is a quiet lake as no gasoline motors are allowed. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boards are the way to go. Efforts have been made to reduce trash fish in the lake. You can look forward to catching bass, pike, bluegills and perch. There is no size limit; and you can catch 10 fish a day. If your idea of boating is to go fast and make a lot of noise, this lake is not for you. However, if you want to quietly paddle out and catch your supper this is a fine place to do so. There are bathrooms and a rotunda for a rainy day picnic. There is a small pier for offshore fishing and a small boat ramp. If you are driving around with a canoe on your roof and a fishing pole, it would behoove you to stop here for a couple hours of quiet outdoor pleasure
Was winter when I visited, very quiet and beautiful. They have short trails which are great for kid's to go out and walk on and still be within sight of your there for a picnic or something. Nice slow creek runs along the park for great scenery and relaxation.
Great date destination i love the view good for a nice short walk also go fishing somethimes mostly bullhead but got a couple yellowbelly bluegills as well. N very few small mouth bass. All on worm.
