Since 1970 Simin has enchanted clients with couture evening and bridal gowns. Her exclusive designs coupled with exquisite handwork have garnered an elite clientele.
An Iranian native, Simin immigrated to Manchester, England at the age of fourteen where she studied Fashion Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. As she excelled amongst her peers, the university sent Simin to Paris, France to learn the art and discipline of haute couture under renowned designer Pierre Balmain. It was while in Paris that she embraced Balmains philosophy that "dressmaking is the architecture of movement."
Upon completing her degree, Simin returned to Tehran, Iran, where she unveiled her House of Fashion. Among the eight hundred guests at her first runway show were two hundred members of Irans royal family. Shortly after the debut of over one hundred original pieces, including a custom gown for the Queen of Iran, her majesty Farah Diba, Simin was honored by the Queen as one of Irans most talented designers'.
In 1979, Simin and her family moved to Los Angeles. Since then she has crafted custom gowns for a broad range of high-profile clientele and events including the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, BAFTA Awards, ESPY Awards, BET Awards, Emmy Awards, Latin Emmy Awards and the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony. In 2007, Simin collaborated with the Kazanjian Brothers Jewelers in presenting the worlds most expensive wedding gown. Valued at nineteen million dollars, the gown was featured in over five hundred media outlets.
Recent accolades include a Distinguished Designer Award during the 2007 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as well as a Woman of the Year tribute by the IJW Organization in 2008. Both honors recognized her talent as a designer as well as highlighting her charitable involvements that have helped raise millions of dollars over the past three decades.
Newly situated in Beverly Hills, California, Simin looks to combine her years of experience and passion of design to set a new standard in the fashion industry.
