In 1986, Carol's husband, Danny, heard an ad for Rockingham Group on the radio, and asked her to call to have an agent come visit them. At the time, they were both working full time jobs and insured by another company. Danny and the Rockingham Agent immediately hit it off and Carol and Danny came on board as part time agents for the Rockingham Group.
In 1988, Carol changed to a full time Exclusive Agent for Rockingham, when the agent in Vinton left to pursue other opportunities. Through the years there have been a few changes in location, but in 1996 Carol opened the office on Hardy Road in Vinton, where they currently operate from today.
Since 1999, members of her family have worked with her, truly making this a family run agency. Currently her sister, Judy, works in the office and in 2008 her daughter-in-law, Debbie, joined as an agent, and then in 2011 her son, Stacy, joined as an agent.
Debbie and Stacy will be opening a second office location in Moneta to better serve the community. They understand your needs from renters insurance to a farmowners policy, as they are farmers themselves who are active in 4-H and livestock showing with their son.
