SimplyMa’aM: E-Tailing Clothing & Accessories Brand
Ma’aM™ was established in 2013 by Iris Ampofo-Barnes, a Ghanaian-American entrepreneur, who saw an opportunity to create an engaging shopping experience through an e-commerce retail platform to provide an authentic array of contemporary products made with traditional African textiles. She named the company Simply Ma’aM to represent the day of the week she was born, Saturday “AMMA” (Twi Language) inverted along with the guiding principles of Simplicity and Versatility.
The goal of Ma'aM™ is to build trust with consumers, and create an avid and loyal customer base. Many of our products have features that are exclusive to SimplyMa’aM brand. Leading product categories include apparel, accessories (i.e., shoes, bags, purses and clutches), and jewelry (i.e., earrings, cuffs, bracelets, pendants) with a goal of extending the products to housewares and home accessories. Today, the SimplyMa’aM website offers a curated collection of desirable products to customers around the globe.
The aesthetic for the line is an approachable elegance designed in a functional fashionable flair that promotes individual sense of style yet compliments your everyday look. The style feels earthy, real and is simply versatile. Generally, finding such items has been difficult until now Simply Ma'am has changed that.
