Rat infested!!! Mice everywhere!!! Do not leave furniture in this place. I never had any food of any kind in my unit and Only two weeks after I moved my things in here, I came to grab a few things and rodent droppings were all over my furniture. Horrible place!!!! Pest control confirm that the rodents will return because simply storage has no preventative methods in place. And because the rodents had eaten all of the poison, it’s a high probability that dead rodents will be throughout my furniture. Manager is not doing anything!
First off let's start by saying the pricing for these storage units is too high, especially since we have had mice in our storage and we have only been here a week and a half. Oh my goodness I'm so discussed. And of our furniture was brand new and some still even had plastic on it. After talking to management the told us that's our problem, I was furious but I didn't say anything else I paid them what I owed and moved my belongings out. They will hear from our lawyer soon. Also please pay great attention to people with more than 1 review. They are having people make fake accounts and leaving them 5 starts without explaining why they deserve it. This company is full of corruption to leave your belongings at your own risk. Don’t say no one warned you. If it walks like a duck and quack like a duck it's a duck.
RIP off. The 1 month free is not accurate. They charged my daughter for a full month of storage because she signed the papers at the end of the month. 3 days does not equal a month. The least thing they could have done is call for collections. Nope locked and ready to auction anything left. What a RIP off. What a horrible place. Do NOT reccomend.
Horrible! If you want to keep your belongings, I suggest storing them elsewhere! Had our storage unit broken into, we were NOT told. They just locked it up- I cut that lock off just to find all of our stuff rummaged through and missing. Corporate Simply Self Storage does not answer their phones. I’ve been calling all morning. I’m told by the office that I just have to wait until tomorrow when a manager will be in! Ridiculous, I want answers and camera footage pulled back now! When you pay almost $300/month for a storage unit- the safety of my items is supposed to be included in that. This is the 2nd issue we have had! First, was I had to have my husband treat our unit for mice after a couple months in. I noticed a huge problem with them and their droppings all over my things. DISGUSTING! The company did nothing. So my belongings have been ruined and ran through by rodents and now people as well. I am in disbelief this is how business is conducted at this price point.
Al waiting around for me as I was running late due to construction. He was humorous and friendly and quickly got me set-up with my unit. He talked me through the basics and I was all set. Very smooth.
I helped my boyfriend move out and they told us it was $94 per month and when we got there it was $175 a price they never told us. As college students we don’t have that much and you’re going to withhold that information from us. That is bull. This guy kept throwing out numbers of prices without saying what they were for. It was a whole mess and the guy we talked to was getting at attitude that we did not appreciate! Worst storage unit place do NOT come here unless you want to be ripped off! There are better places in Kalamazoo to go with better prices!
Robert by far was the most helpful person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! I was having a terrible day until I came in and took great care of us with renting a storage unit! If you need a place to rent this is the place to go!
Nice place. Guy there was very helpful. Only issue was lights by our unit don't work but he insured us he was going have them working soon.
A little pricey for the size units they give you but if its temporary then i guess its worth it.. They arent very on top of things by making sure people clean up after themselves tho and the dumpster is usually always full or overflowing.
Jake was really nice and made sure I was aware of everything such as fees etc. he was really compassionate about helping made my decision easy --Thanks Jake at Simp self storage
