Nice place. Staff not really excited to see anyone. No explanation of menu and one word responses really makes it hard to rate other than average. I ordered a dish medium spicy and my guest ordered something with mild flavoring. They gave me mild on my dish. Shoulder shrug is not a good response.
I had driven by this place a couple of times and was curious. My aunt and I love to try new Indian food spots so we decided to give it a go. Initially parking was a bit tough because there were meters but also signs saying we couldn't park there. I decided to risk it and park anyways, which worked out fine in the end I didn't get a ticket. The restaurant itself is extremely comfortable and cozy, while tables are still socially distanced. The food was absolutely divine. We had the veggie samosa starter and then I had the butter chicken and my aunt had the chicken curry. We also ordered a naan bread. The flavors in the curry were perfect and the naan was huge and soft and melts in your mouth. Another top option for Indian food in the area
Good food here. Taste wise Singh’s cafe is unmatched in and around the Boston area for Indian food. I think the prices are relatively higher than what you’d find elsewhere. The staff are super helpful with their guidance on ordering. We love the Samosas from here. Their peshawari naan and Kulfi are also quite a delight for those with a sweet tooth. You should definitely try the cocktails here that are made with an Indian twist. Overall, our group was very satisfied with the food at Singh’s.
I found Singh’s to be surprisingly good, especially considering how there were only two other tables occupied at dinner time. They started everyone out with a small cup of cauliflower soup, which was nicely seasoned. We started with samosas, which were tasty and served hot right out of the fryer. I had the saffron fish entrée and asked for hot, and it came out super hot temperature-wise and spiced just right. And on the side, the onion paratha was great, totally stuffed with onions. The service gets a solid “A” for attentiveness without obtrusiveness. With a daughter at Wellesley College, I’ll definitely be back.
Pretty room, delicious food at Singh's Cafe. The dining room is down a few steps, so feels very cosy and pleasant. We have dined there many times over the years, and always have been delighted. After we ordered dinner the waiter brought each one of us a small bowl of spinach soup, a treat and nice way to start. Lamb samosas were hot and came with a tray of condiments to make them spicier or add a little sweetness. That's a popular appetizer and can be vegetarian. In fact, it is easy to stay with vegetable dishes for the whole meal. Lamb Korma and chicken in dal sauce were delicious. You can order whatever level of spiciness that you prefer, from mild to really, really hot. The waitstaff is friendly and efficent. The room is pretty, and the table is set nicely, with authentic thalis, metal plates. Very sanitary. Singh's has a liquor license. There's plenty of street parking. Singh's was doing a brisk takeout business for customer pickup and the delivery services. As mentioned, the dining room is down a few steps from the street level, so is not handicap accessible for a wheelchair. There is a buffet at lunch every day of the week. They take reservations, but the dining room has not been very full these days.
I’ve gone here twice, once for dinner and once for buffet. The food is really good. However, their lunch buffet main course selection is pretty limited. However they have a lot of appetizers and deserts with their buffet which was really nice. I would’ve liked to have some paneer or kofta or something in the buffet Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options
My family and I went here for dinner. The quality food is OK. I felt the quantity of food in the dish is much less, compared to its price. The dishes seem to be over-priced. They serve daal, calling it lentil soup, as complimentary. The restaurant had inexperienced waiters. We ordered paneer korma which we didnt like at all. The lamb Rogan Josh was good. Peshawari naan was too sweet and aloo paratha seemed burnt. I felt the food at Punjab Palace in Brookline, which also serves North Indian food, is much better and tastier, and less expensive.
Very good experience, we are coming from new York to Boston and all the way there was too much rain and we are hungry , so I stared searching an Indian restaurant along the route and luckily I saw this restaurant name and I put on my maps and we went there , the ambiance was so cozy and the food was awesome specially sarson ka saag with Makki roti when I took first bite I got emotional it was so yummy . I will definitely come back .
Indian food is so underrated. Everything I got here was incredible. I got the paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, malai kofta and rice. Maybe the best sauce I’ve ever had, it is addicting. 10/10 for me!
Their food is by far the worst I’ve had. Ordered bhindi masala aka Okra which was raw and basically a stir fried raw okra which cannot be chewed/swallowed. I think this food needs to be served to the chef for a review. Avoid this restaurantFood: 1/5
