Worst experience. You have to check your bags 45 minutes in advance. When arrived early the check in desk had no one there and only one of the TSA agents would even speak to us and advices we couldn’t check the bag you had to come 45 minutes early, we did. I could clearly see people waiting for their flight, which was my flight. Don’t come here. TSA was obviously rude and no one to help rebook a flight. I will never fly out of here again
Teeny tiny airport, only two gates, the staff was very nice.
Super small airport. Flights only go to/come from Denver Colorado and Chicago Illinois. I arrived 2 hours before my flight and the check-in window was closed until an hour before my flight, security was closed until 30 min. Before my flight. I didn't mind because it gave me time to drink my coffee not sold there and the plane still left on time.
Last two flights the pilot reported the runway has been shortened. This has led to 2/2 delays in my experience and fully booked flights have been reduced to partially full flights; people will get involuntarily bumped off the plane. 1. Very slow baggage claim. 2. Very unhelpful counter staff: condescending, crude, unhelpful, snark looks. 3. Very slow service in general. In the event you have a smooth experience at this airport this review may not be relevant. However under the strong likeliness you will have some sort of issue; the staff will treat you like you deserve the poor treatment they provide you and/or that you should be perfectly ok with the issues due to airport operational negligence.
Today, this poor airport had a technical issue on their 6am flight. The guy and girl that helped solve all the issues were very kind and they did all they could to find us new flights or get us out. It was a bit crazy and even in dealing with customers who were extremely unhappy, they did it with grace. They worked super hard! The airport is small and doesn't have anything to do, but the chairs are comfy, the wifi is free, and the staff is very kind!
SUX is the easiest airport to use with just one gate. Tickets are a bit more expensive than Omaha or Sioux Falls with fewer destinations but that's to be expected.
United Airlines is trash. Bait and switch and then they want you to bid more on a flight you originally purchased. American Airlines wish you didnt leave. As for the actual airport SUX its very small and very efficient......its doesnt SUX
Showed up about 50 minutes before my flight and wasn't allowed on because there was nobody willing to print my boarding pass. Could only talk to TSA who basically just told me to find another flight since the gate workers wouldn't even talk to me.
I'd give less if I could. We had our suitcase delayed, told we would have it by the night or the next day. Okay. Waiting, waiting, waiting... nothing. Tried calling the airport multiple times? Nothing. My boyfriend wears retainers, that got very expensive, which were in our luggage. We went in to ask questions, the only 'staff' member she worked near the baggage claim there was extremely rude, gave us attitude, and refused to listen to anything we said other than that whole it's not my job, go away attitude. I'd rather end up with a 3 hour drive than end up having to come in here again. Thanks :
The very heroic aircraft crew of a DC-10 made an emergency landing here in 1989. Captain Al Haynes. More than half of the people on board survived. If you don't know anything about this, look it up. The rescuers on the ground were heroic also.
