We love Sioux Park! The kids love the pool and we don't mind it either! They have a really nice play ground and a really nice track to run on. Beautiful paths along the creek and a wonderful botanical garden. They also have tennis courts and soccer fields. Playground: Huge! Restrooms: Plenty Picnic area: Yes
Awesome space for kids and adults to get physical activity in! They have a track for running, soccer fields, playground, and basketball courts. Restrooms are also there. This place can get busy when it's nice out. You'll see Frisbee, people tossing a football, basketball, etc. It's a nice location!
Lovely park, the flowers were in bloom and overall I had a nice time exploring the park.
Both my 6 year old daughter and I love this park! There's a friggin tight rope pit with balance beams and a wobbly metal thingy, and nobody complains when I sing Stevie Ray Vaughn lyrics AND guitar There's a beautiful creek running through, horseshoe pits, grills, playgrounds for big and little kids, and gnarly old trees.
An excellent park , with extensive walking/cycling paths! Beautiful streams and water ponds with fish thru the entire length of the park!
Super cute park on west side of Rapid City. Great place to take smaller children who love to run around. Lots of open space to enjoy social distancing. Creek runs next to park so fishing is fun here too.
Great renovations to the park. However, access to restrooms is lacking if you aren't at the playground equipment. More accessible restrooms near shelters would be nice.
Gorgeous park. Stopped here for lunch with our Golden Phoenix take out. Ran into some overly friendly homeless Native Americans. Was entertaining.
Nice playground area. Bike path runs through, pletting of room for walkers, runners, dog walking, skateboards etc. Later in the summer the formal gardens are beautiful. Playground: Great space. Has playground equipment for a wide range of ages. Can be very very busy. Restrooms: There are restrooms but I am not sure they are always open year round Dog-friendliness: Always lots of dogs. I think they are supposed to be on leashes but that is not always the case. I have never personally experienced any issues with an off leash dog though. Picnic area: Several picnic tables around. I think there are also 1 -2 covered areas. I like to just take a blanket though and have a picnic on the ground. Usually plenty of trash bins around for post picnic garbage.
The park was beautiful. My son and I enjoyed our walk with the soothing sound of the creek running and the sight of beautiful flowers. As we walked along the path we noticed the smiles and greetings of many. Greetings are rare from strangers this day in age, so it was a good feeling.
