I mean I went to this school from grade-k to grade-7 and I loved it. Sure we use public school buses but thats because they’re more environmentally friendly and they cost less. Also the school supplies are not old, they’re stored in a room and that’s okay. This school also has lots of history and memories which is cool. The teachers and the faculty are amazing!! One of the office assistants is so generous. The teachers make sure to push their students and they’re also nice, but still, don’t mistaken them for that.
This is regarding the daycare in particular.. great teachers, toys & activities. Only thing I can think of at the moment is earlier awareness of any sicknesses amongst within the classes.
I have to say that the new school environment and Youtube Channel are incredible, however, the school's website needs an update. For example, the calendar of events never actually show actual events being celebrated in classes, parents are missing out a huge part on special events like Terry Fox Run if their children forgot to mention them or forgot about them especially for younger children, which often left their children unprepared for it, and teachers in school rarely give parents a brief head up of what is going on in class before and after school either, nor do they send an email to parents to inform them about the event details either, the lack of communication between parents and teachers is a big issue of this school. There are also not a lot of teaching staffs info on "Our Staff" page, and there are hardly any inspirational or meaningful clubs, activities, programs like in other schools, such as coding program, chess program, language program, visual arts program, dance program etc that would allow children to discover their unique interests and talents. The website in general leaves visitors or parents confused and frustrated most of the time in finding the information they need.
Attended from 1969 - 1974. Remember more about that school than any other after that. I wish I had gone for a visit before the the new school was started. Playing jumping Jack's in the segregated girls indoor play area, our parents constructing outdoor play equipment, science fair, my friends were all different ethnicities and no one cared. So much more . . . to go back in time . . . The best childhood and memories ever!
Not a very good school to go to. Supplies there we pay for are just really old supplies from long ago and the school says they will buy new ones for us. We use public buses WHICH JUST STRAIGHT UP SUCK. They make everything super expensive like treat day. They also force us Gr.6 and Gr.7 to do lunch monitor and not let us quit.
Brand new school it definitely stands out in the area as new but the same great staff teach there for the community children
Amazing teachers, and awesome support workers, the new school so far is pretty awesome.
Best school ever
