Even if you think you don't want to enter a burning building, there are many other aspects of being part of a fire department! We need support crew for outside the structures to pull hose, organize tanks, move ladders, or run communications. Other positions include drivers for Engines and Tenders, technology support, extraction crew, medical support, engineers to supply water to fire crews etc. etc. The possiblities are endless.
Sixes RFPD is strictly volunteer. Being on a fire department is a great and very rewarding way to give back to your community! Contact Chief Wayne Moore at (541) 348-9927 or show up at the fire hall on any Tuesday night at 7:00pm.
