I would like to emphasize that 99% of our experience with Skyview was BRILLIANT. My dad is not an easy patient and he was well cared for for about 90 days. The team accommodated his finicky eating habits and all therapists were kind and patient. I appreciated the transparency re COVID including testing and mask policies and never felt "in danger" despite there being COVID cases in the building from time to time. Everything was 5 stars UNTIL JUST AS WE WERE ABOUT TO PULL OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT DISCHARGE. At the entrance a staffer ran up to me asking if I had put a Skyview wheelchair into my trunk. I suppose that from afar she saw me fold a cart that I used to transfer my dad's belongings to the car, and when she said what she said, I was aghast. I replied that had not put a wheelchair into the car and the staffer requested that I open the trunk so she could "make sure." I did and she sheepishly said, "we just lose so many of them." If there is a concern regarding lost inventory of wheelchairs, I recommend your staff assist patients out of the building at discharge to ensure equipment isn't removed from the facility. Accusing otherwise satisfied clients and families of stealing wheelchairs isn't the best approach to managing this issue. TO THE REST OF THE STAFF, we are grateful to you for your care of my dad in our time of need. It was a pleasure to visit him in such a beautiful place. Thank you.
Beautiful place with great view of the water. Staff are pleasant and helpful. My only concern is they do accept COVID-19 positive clients, who are isolated from the others.
My mom has been living at Sky View Rehab and Health Care Center for almost 3 years. She is well taken care of and treated with respect by the staff. She enjoys the many activities that they offer, which keep her busy and engaged. I enjoy many of the activities, as well, participating with my mom. I also really like that Sky View has their own rehabilitation department, in the large room full of equipment. Sky View is a place that truly cares about the residents living there, as well as the residents’ families. I highly recommend Sky View to anyone looking for a great place for a loved one.
NOT RECOMMENDED. My wife was at Sky View 8-29 DEC 2022, personal items cosmetics were stolen while in COVID-19 isolation. My wife was terrified while at Sky View, patient attendees were demanding, mean, and intimidating. Patients are medicated for control purposes.
I received excellent care. The staff including nurses, aides and administrative staff gave excellent attention to all my needs. The Ots and PTs did an excellent job. Overall a fantastic job well done. Thanks to all .
This is my mother-in-laws second time at Sky View for rehabilitation. We are grateful to have seen many of the same friendly faces to welcome her back with open arms. They were diligent, patient and encouraged her to keep going even when things got tough in order for her to return home. Even during COVID, she always felt safe, especially considering the current pandemic. From the food, to nursing, to activities, social work, and admission, it was all great. A special shout out to the physical therapy department, especially Larry and Tyler, who went above and beyond to treat my mother-in-law like family. I highly recommend this facility.
This place is horrible! My mother was just in there for a little more than 2 weeks for rehab. Coming out of the hospital after being on a ventilator she was free of infection. The Dr. There sent her to the ER after the whole weekend before we were telling the nursing staff she just wasn't right. She was acting like she had a UTI. So this place apparently doesn't have a Dr on the weekends or on call, unbelievable. So this Dr sends her to the ER saying he was afraid she was pre septic, seriously! I told him she wasn't coming back there and that he did her a favor by sending her to the hospital. It felt so good to pack up her belongings. This place made her so sick . She has a UTI, Sepsis, Covid, Ecoli and she needed a blood transfusion! She sat in dirty diapers at this place constantly, cold meals, contaminated food, fruit flies in the room, people there are very neglectful to the patients. We had to fight with them every day! So now we are asking them, the Director Monica of Skyview who is responsible for our mother becoming so very sick? She didn't have an answer. Just an awful horrible place. If you can rehab at home do it! We learned the hard way. Do NOT send your loved one here! It's a horrible place the patients are very neglected. We have reported them to the DOH and will pursue it further. There has to be ramifications for this neglect. This place deserves no stars and should be shut down! Written by her daughter, Theresa
My husband was a patient at Sky View for 2 months after his neck surgery as he needed physical therapy. His stay there was excellent even during the pandemic of COVID-19. He felt safe and well cared for. The nursing and administrative staff were all friendly, professional, and caring. We would recommend Sky View to anyone looking for additional medical services.
After 2. 1/2 months, my stay was excellent due to the staff support provided by customer service and social work… and Nursing and Aides. The Short term Rehab therapy program has been totally up to par. I hope I never need these services again but would surely return to Skyview.
This place is is a terrible terrible place my mother was here recently for rehabilitation the only thing she got from here was very very sick and ended up at the hospital She was left in soiled diapers multiple times she is Septis from a UTI has E. coli Covid and her body is so de pleated she needed a blood transfusion . Lots of tiny bugs in here room as well This place deserves no stars Is horrible don’t send your loved ones here
